Morning, went for a 5k run - not 10 as planned, but after 2 weeks off (and half a bottle of wine last night
) - not bad.
My training plan said I should have done 1.5 hours run today - so I'm a little off the pace.
I'm on holiday this week :j so plan to run every day ending with a long on thursday, then we go to Center Parcs on Friday.
Moneywise, all payments are up to date. Im looking forward to getting rid of Goldfish, then that will be another £100 a month to throw at something else. Everything's on LOB or 0%, though I need to double check Virgin. I have a new (and empty :A) Tesco card ready to transfer that. Obviously they are not coming down fast enough for me, but I have my overdraft which has crept up, so that's the number one focus.
Right, off to do 2 baskets of the dreaded ironing - best to get it over and done with. Looks like it's shaping up to be a nice sunny day after a wet start.
Enjoy the Bank Holiday if you are readingx

Ironing almost done. Second appointment booked for the lovely house tomorrow morning. We could have gone today, but I want to leave the kids with my parents so we're not distracted.
I'm trying desperately hard to be nonchalant and "Que Cera Cera" about it - not easy, when you have to like/love it enough in the first placeI've beed reading loads of great tips on the House Buying board and all about the pros and cons of buying a listed building.
We've just been discussing our limit, but think it will fall short of what the vendors are expecting. Thank God for the miracles of the internet eh? We were able to find out what they paid for it, so are trying to be educated in our offer - should we make one. At the moment we are finishing off all the little jobs here and I've just had to broach the thorny subject of decluttering that DH will have to do! There will be tears....
Right off to do some decluttering myself, then take the kids to the park, to stop them going stir-crazy.0 -
It is v windy here, and we have a few spots of heavy rain from time to time but it soon blows over.....no excuses not to get my washing out on the line today.
Well done on the run, you have plenty of time before GNR to get the longer runs in, so don't fret too much over it. Enjoy the rest of your day xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Well done on the run and good luck with the house.0

Thanks Hypno and Taxi - hope you have both had a good day.
We took the kids out on the boating lake, just as the wind was getting up. DH is a very relaxed chap and let them take the helm - one oar each
I had visions of "man-overboard" but we were instead we were all dizzy from going round in constant circles whilst the girls squealed with laughter! It was quite bracing, but the rain held off until we got back to the car.
I feel totally sick about the house. We have been discussing tactics - I am rubbish at playing my cards close to my chest and the whole game, but we have a top line and can't go beyond that as we are stretching ourselves as it is..... Wish I could be more detached from it all0 -
With the house - if it is meant to be, it will happen without you having to go above your limit.
if it doesn't happen, it is for a very good reason.
I ran for 30 mins on the tread today.......was far too wet and windy to go outside!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Well done on the run :T It's a good move you buying the treadmill - safe and convenient, so good for you.
Yep, I agree regarding the house. DH is very pragmatic about it and basically said what you did - if it's meant to be etc.
The hard part is, that it's a lot of money and you have to consider it carefully, imagine yourself living there etc, make the necessary compromises, then when you have decided "Yes, that's the one" you are already emotionally involved..........perhaps that's just me. It's the not knowing I can't bare - Bleurgh!!!
Really must get a grip0 -
Sounds like you had some lovely time with the kids0
-
Phew, kids in bed after they had a marathon wrestling session(?!) Think I need to start them running with me - I need to tire them out.
I've got my gear ready and am going out again in the morning.
Tomorrow, I'm going to start sorting out the cellar. It is rather a large task despite us binning a skipful last year, there is so much that we don't need. I reckon we could do a carboot after that - so must look out for one...
Just seen another house we might view, need to get things into perspective, there are always plenty of houses out there (just in case vendors have twigged and are reading )
