Don't beat yourself up over DD..you are a good mum and if you keep trying to coax her gently..she'll tell you eventually.
I'm sure the house will come to you.0 -
Thanks to you all xxx
I know parenting is not easy for anyone. Just as you think you've got something right with one child - up pops another issue. She is just a complex little character. At least life is never dull!
I've just been distracting myself looking on Rightmove, my second favourite websiteThe house I've got my eye on is on a very lovely and desirable road, but I've just noticed it doesn't even have central heating. We totally renovated this house and DH said he would never do it again - oops, he's not going to be too impressed when we go and view it at the weekend :rotfl:

Hi Euro :hello: nice to see you - hope all's well with you x
And Hello to you too Gill - glad you are back to full healthDon't know about coming together, but I keep pushing on!
Last day of work for over a week :j Yippeee!!! It will be good to spend time with the girls, as little DD especially needs some quality time. We are going to Center Parcs next weekend, so they are very excited about that.
We are having the house valued on Thursday, so I'll be cleaning, decluttering and doing little painting jobs until then. Hopefully it will be good weather and a good week.
A few more payments have gone out this week, so I'll update my sig later.
Hope everyone's doing ok0 -
Sounds a busy week - you will need that weekend at Centerparcs by the time you finish!!

I'm fine thanks Hypno - how are you? Rejoicing in your slimness no doubt :A
I lost an Aunt yesterday, after a brief illness, so I also have a funeral to go to next week which will be difficult
In house news, remember the gorgeous one I sent you the details of? The dreamy one - it's been reduced by another £25k :j I am tempted to go in with a very cheeky offer (which will be more they paid for it) as they are relocating and want to be sold up in time to start new schools (trying not to get too excited- though I'm sure Mr Mac will temper that )

Sorry to read about your aunt
I would be tempted to try the cheeky offer, though - that's what we did with this one - said we will put one offer in an that was it, no budging. Eventually the sellers agreed to our price. Was very empowering!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Well they have dropped £50k in a month, so who knows..... maybe worth it.
Anyway, I'm off to view another in the morning, but that is almost the same price and doesn't even have central heating . Dream house is done, which is very appealling, though there isn't much room to add value and it has no downstairs loo.... best ring the mortgage co before getting too carried away0 -
Hi Macgirl - thought it was about time I checked in with you! Looking at houses is very exciting - am in a period of liking mine, and having a new kitchen installed in two weeks' time , so then I'll like it even more!! There is "my" next house up for sale just a few streets away from me right now, but I know it's not the right time - and if we tick along as we are, in five years we'll have no mortgage, so it makes it much easier to be strong in the face of temptation! Having said all that, Mr R has itchy feet ATM, so who knows? All I'd say on yours is, no downstairs loo with children is a hassle - not insoluble, but a hassle nonetheless......
Glad NY was good for you
