Thanks BTD, I've just had a slice of Disney Princess birthday cake whilst watching the Marathon highlights! Diet starts tomorrow - again :o

The party was a huge success, with all kids turning up that were invited. DD was in her element and a good day was had by all!

We viewed the lovely house first - it is dreamy. Period charm, all decorated to a high standard and exactly our taste. BUT, on hindsight not worth the asking price. When I got home and checked online, the price had been reduced this weekend by £25k.
Mmmmm, we were the first to view too............makes me think there may be a deal to be had. We're looking at a modern one next weekend, so we'll see.

The best thing was it opened a lively debate between us, with DH insisting we talk to a financial advisor asap :T

Tell me why I don't like Monday evenings? I am always exhausted.

Managed to find some IFA's today, so have emailed them for info. I also had a NSD today and hope to make it 4 this week. Fingers crossed. After the scary spending weekend of party and tyres I'm still in shock, so need to be Uber-frugal.

Fingers are also crossed that the buyer picks up the car tomorrow and hands over the cash. I'm a bit nervous as I haven't heard anything today and they want to collect tomorrow.....

Other than that nothing to report except extreme tiredness!

  • Hey well done on the windows fund, I'm sure thats going to be really satisfying when you get them done without borrowing.

Have you read this story on the Daily Mail? Made me chuckle when her husband posted on her website and offered her £25 to clean their house lol...Sorry can't do short links..

What a great story! Very inspiring. If only I had extra hours in the day.......
I can certainly identify with the goal of a dream house being a money motivator - I'm on a mission and can think of nothing else.

Paid an extra £70 off MBNA, so that's just come off my total - slowly, slowly, but I could do with a lump sum windfall from somewhere. Perhaps the £1 jobs idea is the place to start! Thanks for posting that KM :A
  • Yeah isn't it a great idea...have you looked at her website? I feel completely jealous that I didn't think of it first, its fab.
