Cleaned out my purse and handbag whilst shouting obscenities at the TV - won't say which leader though
I feel cleansed!
Also, managed to do some life laundry (inc. actual laundry) so a positive start to the weekend - hurrah! Off to look at million £ houses, then to bed x0 -
I've been pottering too while watching the debate.......a precursor to my mad spring clean on Monday.....it's a start at least!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

I can feel a flylady attack coming on.
Its cleaning all around in this house too. DS wants some space, so has had a chucking out session, so feel honour bound to do some at the weekend.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Good Morning!
Just got back from a 6 mile run. It was lovely when I set out then started raining lightly just as I needed cooling down
I managed to run past a few houses I've looked at on the internet too.
10p's on the scratches, so they are coming along nicely and an Ebay parcel to post today. I stayed up until midnight tidying and putting away - I went upstairs to find DH lying on the bed watching TV with a pile of laundry beside him  I was so cross that although he does help out, I do the lion's share - and he'd been out bl00dy swimming! Grrrrrr!
Anyway I always find a bit of rage - or PMT, helps no end when doing house work, so the bonus is, most of it is done and today I can do other things!
Hope you have a good day if anyone's reading

Well done on the run!
I've got a guy coming round to quote for windows on Tuesday.....as you know, some of mine are unlikely to last another winter, and are certainly going to be an issue when selling the house, whenever that may be. I need to know how much it will cost so I can start my "pot", although I am hoping that perhaps the bonus will go someway towards it which would be lovely.
That means, though, that I have to have the place clear enough for him to actually GET to the windows with his tape measure  Nothing like a bit of a deadline to get me moving on the old housework front!!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Yep, I know that feeling - nothing like housework under pressure!
I roughly know how much we have to save, so once we're near the target I'll get the cheap firm round to do it.
Next on my list is to speak to the IFA's, then get some agencies round to value this house for both sale and rental (though I roughly know both), then we can weigh up the options.
Despite what OH says, I still think we should view houses to have an accurate view of what's out there and what we can realistically afford. We bought this having only viewed 2, so I want to make sure we are not dismissing things - can't judge a book and all that....
Right I'm starving, so off to make porridge and coffee.0 -
Oh, all this talk of housework is making me feel like I should be doing some ! My house is an absolute tip:o. I like the fly-lady concept but never seem to have the time:o:o How do you ladies manage it all ???0
-
I don't 40sm - mine is a tip too!! Endless clutter, barbie shoes, bits of plasticine, Disney Princess earrings, marbles, houses from Monopoly - need I go on?!
Plus my DH is the biggest hoarder I've ever met - think every magazine he's ever bought and you'll get the picture. Every day is a battle I can't win, but I am trying
Hope you're well!0 -
I've just been accepted for a 0% card with Tesco. I'm going to pay for the windows on that to get some clubcard points :money: and pay it off asap, then close it.
We've also decided rather than going to my parent's in Spain at Springbank - which would work out around £1.5-2k , we're going to go to Center Parcs for a weekend instead. Feel a bit bad that we're doing 3 nights rather than 4, but the difference in price is £300, so we will stay for one night in the Lakes beforehand to make it into a longer/cheaper holiday.
All budgeted for and affordable, so it feels very responsible and grown up. For once
