We've been a couple of times and they DO love it, hence the reason we're returning - under extreme pressure :)

I've had a very productive day today. Laundry all on target, house semi clean and tidy and all jobs on the "To Do" list have been completed.

I also spoke to an IFA and it was very interesting. I only rang up to enquire, but ended up going through some figures and got quite a lot of advice. There is a fee (of nearly £700 - which I don't know is good or bad) but I got a good vibe off the person and found out a few things I didn't know which made a lot of sense.

Of course, I will follow Martin's advice and speak to someone else, but I would be happy to go with this firm. We'll see.

First things first, I need to go back to my mortgage co to see what they will lend me and DH together (as this house is in my name only), then take it from there. They already thought I had a good deal, so should port this mortgage - which I know I can. Feels like a step in the right direction.

Tea next then school disco! Whoop Whoop - the fun never stops! :D

Back from the school disco, which was fun! Drank a glass of vinegar masquerading as wine and was entertained by little DD getting lost in music.

DH got stuck at work as he'd left his side lights on all day and got a flat battery :(
His office is 25 miles away, so he trained it home and we'll have to go with jump leads tomorrow.
So to hell with being healthy and MSE - we've ordered a curry and are awaiting delivery :D Delish!

Hope anyone reading has had a good day and enjoys the extended weekend :)

    Good morning

I was hoping for a lie-in this morning, but my body is now programmed not to sleep past 6am :(
Plus I'm having trouble with my upper back/shoulder/neck. I think I pulled it last week at DD's party - doing the Hokey Cokey! :o It hurts most on a morning when I've been trying to roll over in bed, think I might need a sports massage......

Sold another item on Ebay, so will post that today and that's another £13.02 to the windows fund. I've got more to list there and on amazon, so must do that today.
Then I'm going to update the spending spreadsheets and have a hunt around for mortgages to try and get some accurate figures to work with.

I was all excited last night after speaking to the IFA, but DH was shattered after work and his unexpected journey home, so asked if we can talk about it "later". It will no doubt be next week that I ring Natwest, by the time he's sorted out his accounts - but that's not fast enough for me, I want to do it NOW!!!

Our neighbours are so noisy, it's driving us mad. When we moved here, there were an old couple at one side and a couple without kids at the other. One set sadly died and the other moved abroad - so now both are rented. I can't complain as that is our plan too - it's just time for us to move on.

Oops, sorry for the long ramble :o Lovely morning here, hope that bodes well for a good weekend :)

I know - thanks :) I've always tried to run before I can walk, but am just keen to get things moving.

Just checked nw site and the 4.69% 5 year fix we got in Jan is now 5.49% Quite a hike in 4 months....
We've decided to stick to our original budget, which will buy us what we need. So no more looking at houses £100k over budget! The advice from others is always to "stretch" yourself, but as DH pointed out - with 2 house we are stretching ourselves.

Right off for a coffee, then organise the troops for ballet and dispatch DH to buy new architrave for the bathroom, before gathering the jump leads to start his car.

Have a good day to anyone reading :)

Hi 40SM and BTD - I did enjoy the curry thanks and will be eating the leftovers this evening :D

DH and I have been in financial and house discussions for much of the day.
He said he was awake for most of the night thinking about all the implications of future debt. What if his business fails, what if I lose my job, what if the unmentionable happens.....:(
I'm all too aware of that, I've spent much of the last few years worrying and realised it gets you nowhere.

I desperately don't want to cause him unnecessary stress though, he's quite a sensitive person (not timid - just tuned into things) and life is hard enough without me being over-ambitious. He's the sensible one and alot of what he says is fair enough. Think I need to hang fire til the pesky debt is well and truly gone.

*must learn to chillax about moving*

Other than that - a NSD for me :j
