Purple hair
OMG did I say I was going purple :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
That was the one thing I noticed with my new wardrobe I haven't bought anything purple - probably because I saw an older woman the other day very smartly dressed but all in purple - and she looked very odd - brought to mind the book when I am old I shall wear purple - I think it has put me off purple for a bit
Anyway I am a browny blonde I did go red for a bit but that looked a bit odd too

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Oops sorry for the fright!I think on PAd you said you had bright coloured hair and purple must have stuck in my mind!
It is one of my favourite colours, but the old lady who lives next door to my parents always wears it top to toe and does look a bit disturbing.
Glad you're enjoying your new wardrobe - I'd love to go on a splurge, but must keep out of the shops

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:to the idea of DT with purple hair. With the whole new image as well.
A few years ago my cousin tried to uplift the colour in my hair a bit and used some copper in with the normal colour; a look of horror crossed her face. My hair is mousy and had taken the red too well, I wouldn't have looked out of place on the Kop! Good to hear about your positive meeting with your boss, always makes a huge difference when you are appreciated, especially after you had that bad week. Think I read back that you were going to put some money away to see if you can get your dream house - or did I dream that?

Hello! :hello:
Thanks DT, I did have a fab meeting today with my big boss. It went really well and he was very complimentary which has absolutely made my day! :j
I've had quite a tough year at work and am now finally seeing the fruits of my labour, so am both thrilled and relieved. I will sleep tonight and then am in your home town tomorrow for the day
I was walking on air until I lost track of time and had to race at 90mph home to pick up the kids
DD1 has developed the habit of ignoring me when I ask her to do something. This evening it meant running off in the other direction after a friend - making me look like I had zero control in front of friend's smug mother *huge sigh* I refrained from shouting after her (like a fishwife as I normally do
) and waited until she ran back to the car. When we got home, she was sent her straight to her room while I made dinner. I was so cross - how do I make her listen???
So I decided to ignore her sobs and sorrys until dinner was made, then homework, bath and bed. She was sorry then, as she felt really sad to be ignored and have no fun....
Problem is - I think it hurt me more than it did her
Anyway, another NSD so all good there
Well done on the work :j
I know what you mean about it feeling as though it hurts you more than it does them, but unfortunately it's what parenting's all about. It's not easy.
Along with the embarrassment factor too. My most embarrassing moment wasn't when they ignored me, it was in M&S when youngest DS (years ago) was proud of his new found reading ability, so in a clear loud voice informed anyone nearby of all my underwear and bra sizes etc as it came up on the till

LOL Se!!! The shame!
Gill, my natural hair colour is virtually black, but that hasn't stopped me trying to go blonde in my misspent youth - I even dabbled in pink once
No IMD you didn't dream it - I have pledged to put away a lump sum every month and I will be doing so from next week. Payday on Friday, then the standing orders hit our joint account by the 1st, so it will take effect from then.
Had a good, but tiring day today. Spent around £10 on coffees and lunch and a mag for the train - none of which I can claim back.
A friend has invited me out tomorrow evening for eats and drinks, but I might have to duck out. Really don't want to spend but I am becoming such a bore....
Hope everyone has had a good day

You can go out tomorrow evening, just don't go mad on the spends.....its all about compromise!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Yes, I would like to, but I am overdrawn
It is little DD's party on Sunday - 20 kids at £6 a pop! Plus we're going out with a group of friends on Saturday for joint birthday teas, so that won't be cheap......
Something's got to give and that something I think, has to be my night out. I'll see.
There is still only 1 bid on the car, but 25 watchers and 2 days to go, so I am keeping everything crossed for a last minute bidding war - but that might not happen
Got up and ready for a run, but discovered I'd run out of contact lenses, so will have to buy more today, money money money.
Right off for a shower, then work. Have a good day
