Friday - Hurrah! and Payday too, with new and improved amount added - double Hurrah! :T
Went out last night and had a lovely evening. Met with my friend, who was entertaining some friends of friends from out of town. I was really not in the mood, but it turned out to be better than expected. I drove and to my surprise, the friend of friend of friend paid for the meal - so I spent £0 and felt like a good Samaritan for helping out my friend
10ps on the scratchies today. £5.35 in from them, which I'm putting into my windows fund. It's tipping the scales at around £25 at the moment, so fingers crossed for Ebay.
This month will be expensive. I need 2 new tyres and new brakes.
Plus it's little DD's party. We are having it at a playgym, as our house is too small. It's her first party so I don't mind. Though it will cost us around £150  I'm sure hiring a hall, doing the food and party bags myself plus organising ents would have been cheaper but where is the time to do it........when we move I will have them at home for sure.
Lots to do today, but I'm shattered from the week and was awake in the night. My usual get up and go has evaded me today, so I'm just rolling with it and will clean up later or tomorrow. The dirt will still be there

Just catching up with you en route to London  Glad you had a good night out, they normally are far better nights out when you don't think you will enjoy yourself

Know what you mean about the parties, ideally mine could have a joint party which could be cheaper than bowling/cinema etc but it's finding the time to organise it. Brilliant news on the extra pay as well.

I did manage to get myself in gear and have....
Done 2 loads of washing
Ordered 3 months supply of contact lenses £44.04 - but they will be eeked out to 5/6 months with copious amounts of glasses wearing :money:
Watered the tomato seeds
Sorted my Ebay/Charity/Carboot pile and removed from Dining Room
Blitzed Kitchen and Bathroom
Contemplated stripping beds, but still not tackled that one
Had a general tidy round - but still need to sort various mountain ranges of clothing dotted around the place
Spent too much time reading on here - BUT have been inspired by Weezl's and Frugaldom's threads. Extreme frugality is beyond me I think, but there is definitely a need for meal planning and reducing the grocery budget.
Time and energy in the evenings are a problem and unless I spend all weekend cooking in preparation, I don't know whether I can manage it. But inspired by Hypno - for a month I can (thanks for throwing down the gauntlet if you're reading
)
Right off to make dinner. This evening it is shop bought Pizza Ex 2 for's

Well done on getting so much done today and for being under £17k - I hope to be joining you in the next week or so

And here's to 30 days of frugal living......1 down, 29 to go :TSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Sounds like you will be under £13k in the next few days hypno - fingers crossed for a big bonus

Well the early night has done me good. I gave myself a DIY mani/pedi before bed and moisturising face mask, so I feel pampered. I did a bit of waxing but it's difficult to do as good a job as th professionals - think I might be black and blue this morning
No running this morning as I'm saving my last pair of lenses for tomorrow - I'm aiming for 9 miles and am a little scared
The car listing finishes this evening - while we're out, so I might be disappearing off to the loo with DH's iPhone. Still only 2 bids but over 30 watchers - are they all just seeing how much it will go for? Please Lord, let there be a bidding war today!!!!!!
It's a beautiful monring, so off to get the ironing out of the way, then I can enjoy it - have a good day all
