  • Hi all,
I've just discovered weight watcher's bread. It's ok. I've got the malted one, is quite a thin bread, but then it would be wouldn't it - lol! Don't recommend it as toast as it goes very crispy, but as a sandwich is great. Only 49 cals a slice so, if i'm being 'good' then my calorie intake is down by at least a 100 cals (based on 2 slices) which means 1) I can have something extra or 2) I can save those calories up and have a treat later on! Fantastic!
Just thought I would share with you all. Anyone else like this bread too?? x

Soup and 2 slices of bread is still my usual lunch and I did try a loaf of weight watchers bread once.
It was "OK". If I wanted to save up some calorie allowance for something special I might have it again... like this weekend coming which will be too much beer with the lads... Mmmm might have to get a loaf for lunches for the remainder of this week :o:rotfl:

Third WI of the month and still stuck at 11-6lb.
Nothing lost, nothing gained for about 5 weeks now.
    Frustration setting in.

Maybe something needs to change for a while? A different type of exercise? A slight change to eating?

Are you keeping a record, is there anything you think you can change slightly?

On the very positive side, what you are doing now is maintaining, with stabilty, which bodes well for when you reach your target!

Sounds like a dreaded plateau. Is the weight you have stopped at a weight you once stayed at for a long period in the past?
Plateau beating strategies often seem to include increasing calorie intake so your "maintaining" for a couple of weeks and then decreasing it again perhaps with different but not neccessarily more excercise.

    I'm excited!

Speaking to my Mum last night and apparently after the last time she was round and I mentioned "you lot" ;) and discussed how I'd almost finished loosing weight now she got determined herself. She didn't want to go mad calorie counting so did the things we talk about here, small changes. No crisps, 2 pieces of potatoe instead of 3 or 4, 1 slice of bread instead of 2, bit less sugary fruit.
    "I think I've only lost 7 lbs" she said despondently. "I was 12st 3lb now I'm 11st 7lb."
Me: "Errr, emmm, that 10lbs Mum, how long have you been doing this?"
Mum: "2 months" (yes it's been that long since my Mum was last round, her fault, honest, she keeps going on holiday :rotfl:)
Me: "So thats average 5lbs a month then..."
Needless to say she left feeling much happier since we all know 5lbs a month is pretty good going :D:D:D especially when she has the added challenge of a dodgey thyroid.
No idea what her calorie intake is but I'd guess at around the 1200 a day mark.

    Hi everyone.

Hello to Coco1980 - not sure what exercise you could do that wouldn't injure your back further - perhaps rest might be the best thing? Have you seen your GP about it?

AdrianHi - well done for your Mum :) Like you say, 5lbs loss per month is fab.

I weighed in on the Wii-fit last saturday at exactly the same as the previous week, 11st 4lbs, so no change in weight although BMI was showing as slightly lower :) I was slightly disappointed because I was ill for a couple of days and didn't eat for 24 hours so thought that I might at least have lost a pound or two!

Next weigh-in for me will be on Saturday.

If you were ill you might have become dehydrated so might have been hanging on to a bit of fluid weight without noticing. Might show next time,;)

Thanks Lostinrates, but over-indulging in chinese takeaway followed by cheesecake on the night of my weigh-in has probably negated any effects of being ill! You can certainly tell I've got my appetite back now :rotfl:
