Thanks! I still remember when corned beef was free

Exactly and lots of my members still use it regularly - it's only 4 syns for the corned beef quiche and it's filling (I recommend taking off that thick white fat and running a kettle of boiling water over it before using in a quiche).

Mrs Mortenharket - the Green plan will still be there, but new members will be pointed towards the EE plan as it incorporates all foods.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
  • Thanks for the heads up Consultant! Im a bit sad to see polenta synned :( but noneo fteh other changes will affect me, as I am an EE girl already! And I have always found that pasta quiche quite vile lol!
  • well im off to make a yummy scrummy butternut squash soup- im using up everything i have as im totally brassic till payday! I made this last time and its 1 syn on green but it was heavenly- even more so on a day like today when its absolutely freezing!
Now im debt free i want to be fat free too!

Hello folks, just catching up on the weekend's posts.

Haha, I remember when corned beef was free, and those tins of macaroni cheese - they were horrible and slimy but me and my mum couldn't believe we could eat them on a diet so had them anyway! Will be interested to see what the changes to the plan are.

So I was away at the parents for the weekend - didn't do much exercise (other than trawling round shops for hours) and ate loads, but it was all SW friendly and synned. I mentioned before that I usually weigh in on a Sunday but didn't trust my mum's scales; well I was right not to- jumped on on Sun just to see and according to them I'd lost 15 lbs in a week!!! :rotfl:Since I realised I can't get weighed at home this Sun as away again I got weighed this morning and have lost 2.5lbs (my own scales so I know it's right!!) Really pleased after eating lots and having some yummy (synned) treats. Need to try and plan next weekend as going down South to the races and then for drinks for a friend's 30th. Not a big drinker so the food is going to be the thing to watch, esp when travelling...

Have rediscovered the Comfort Foods recipe book that my mum bought us from her meeting a few months ago - there are some meals in there that sound gorgeous, so am going to make at least one new thing every week - it's easy to get stuck in a rut. I'm glad they're mainly red and green too, because as good as EE sounds, I just cannot get my head around it working for me as seems to have too few restrictions if that makes sense - anyone else feel like that?

Sainsbury's Taste the Difference, Carrot & Swede Mash, chilled 450g pack

why is the normal one so low in syns?? i can understand the taste the diff as it is probably full of cream.

should i trust what this says and get the 1.5 syns per pack one??

thank you, and boiled rice and maybe a garlic naan?

Biryani has rice included (mixed in with it)

and i don't think a naan is worth it so I avoid them like the plague

Hello all!! I have my weigh in tomorrow evening and I have a little problem. I'm going xmas shoping for the day and the choices for lunch are likely to be starbucks or pret a manger. Any suggestions? I'm debating about just going hungry!!!

Can you not find a pub or a spud u like that do a jacket potato & beans? Or find somewhere that'll do a salad? BHS/M&S/Debenhams also have Cafe's. Can you take some Alpen bars with you?

pebblespop - the majority of ingredients in those are free on all plans - so it'll only be the minimal 'additives' that need synning - go and buy it :D
