    i have left my food diary at work this weekend so just recording what i have eaten here so i don't forget - comments are welcome!!

    fri: oven baked cod, sw chips and mushy peas. b'fast and lunch recorded at work.
    sat: bacon and toast, 28g cheese on toast, banana, small wine and chicken kebab - no pitta (red day).
    sun:bacon and toast, gammon sw chips egg and peas, curly wurly and wotsits.

    there doesnt seem to be much free foods/veg :) remember to fill up on these for best results!

    hello all, I am not having a good week as I have had a stomach bug and so haven't actually eaten much the last few days, and I find when I don't eat much I don't loose the weight so now I am feeling better I am going to try and eat as much free and super speed foods as possible!! However I was wondering if anyone had a recipe for some slimming world mince pies as I have SUCH a craving for them!!

    My only suggestion is to make your own - use filo pastry and scrunch them up into little 'bags' . you'd have to calculate they syns yourself depending on what mincemeat you used, but filo pastry is much better than using shortcrust, I think.

    Hello everyone

    Still on my catch-up mission so I'll STS for this week but I reckon I've lost a 1lb or so (yes I have been getting on the scales despite vowing not to!)

    Going to have a red day today so bacon for breakfast and ham for dinner _ I do roast potatoes for the others while I have a baked potato with a dsp of marg on it - this is how I spend my sins - and lots of green veg.

    Have been very green recently so a few reds this week would be good.

    Why are supermarkets full of stacks of tins of sweets at half price? What are they trying to do to us?!

    Hope everybody is having a good weekend.

    We'll have loads of them in work from now on until Xmas, I'm looking forward to the odd little sweet to keep me satisfied but am determined not to pig out like last year :)

    This weekend has shot by, and far too wet.

    I am using up bits and pieces in my fridge/freezer before doing a SW friendly shop (after all this is MSE! lol) and am leaning towards a red day.

    I actually had breakfast today!!!! A first for me. I cant stand eating first thing as it makes me feel sick.

    anyway please may I have the sins for a strawbeery muller fruit yoghurt?

    also - I use nicotine lozenges to cut right down on the ciggies and I get though a lot!!! I have the original ones (the mint make me have a bad tummy) and I was wondering how I go about sinning these?

    hello everyone!!

    ive been reading this thread all week (when my three month old lets me!) and am currently on page 31. but im currently so angry/upset that i thought sod it, im posting now...

    because of my baby, ive signed up to three months with slimming world online, bought a food directory and subscribed to the mag for a year so im vey committed. after baby was born, i was 16 stone something or other and i want to be in the 11s although realistically 12 stone something would do...

    anyway, week one i lost 7 pounds! week 2 i lost nothing, and WI for week three is tomorrow although i did weigh this morning just to see whats likely tomorrow (slap wrist number one) and ive only lost a pound.. i thought perhaps it would be bigger as i lost nothing the week before.

    week 2 when i lost nothing i started reading this thread for ideas etc and discovered i should be drinking more water and i wasnt (still not, slap wrist number two) i may be having too many green days so im trying to have more red, ive been varying my diet too by cooking more from scratch

    one thing im not doing i admit is weighing out my milk for each day (slap wrist 3) so will do from tomorrow promise but surely im not maintaining because of milk?? (yes probably, i know!)

    i also THINK im not having enough sins.. i.e i allow 1 syn for a sugar in drinks (as i couldnt find online how much it is for a teaspoon. why on earth is that, could only find sugar cubes!?) but i only have one in my tea a day, 2 max. the rest of the time i have no sugar at all... i dont use marge in sandwiches which i have rarely now as i feel i cant. erm.... i use fry light instead of oil now. a typical day is...

    B- fruit and one yogurt
    L- low fat chilli chicken noodles (ive been saying theyre free and then read somewhere today some sachets arent free!!! ill have to find out if that sachet is free or not but even if theyre not, i must have enough syns for them??) and normally fruit or yogurt with them?
    D- pasta and home made sauce from sw recipe, meat and salad, meat and roasted veg
    S- fruit, yogurts

    sometimes especially when im out and the only thing on offer is cakes and biscuits round the inlaws, id rather starve and eat when i get home then blow my syns, but that can mean i have breakfast at say 10 and not eat till 7 that night

    ive also had kebabs some nights but i have them on red days.. i have chicken and the salad, chuck the pitta

    so as you can see im not really using many syns(unless i am and not knowing it)

    to top it all off, we finally have a babysitter to look after baby tomorrow night and hubby wanted to take me to nandos as we love it... the book has three items on it including the crisps you get in the supermarket so thats useless. so ive gone on the nandos site for info and tried to work out what half a chicken is on red and it says 13 and a half!!! obviously i was going to take the skin off and not have chips or anything, but now im thinking maybe we shouldnt bother... and yet the last 2 weeks i feel like im at standstill!! i could sit and cry!!! ive had no take aways, no lovely curry, no chocolate and i feel like its not paying off!! i do walk a little and i went swimming week 2 to make sure i lost this week. i desperatly wanted to lose a stone for xmas but theres no way im going to do it now

    im not going to give up i cant afford to. im the heaviest ive ever been because of baby weight and im not keeping it. i keep buying smaller clothes thinking well i will fit into them some day but it feels like its going to take years!!!

    can ANYONE give me advice or tell me off or tell me what im doing wrong!! i know people will say eat more syns but im scared that if im not losing anyway, surely adding a few fun size chocs to the mix will make me put ON weight!!?

    sorry for the long post, just dont know who to turn to.. theres not even a forum on the site ive paid for!!!! :(
  • djdymond - I dont think personally you are eating enough or varying your food. What fruit are you eating? bananas & grapes shouldnt be eaten as abundantly as other fruit. How many yogurts are you eating a day, and what type are they? Also, what are you having for your healthy extras? And yes, eating more syns CAN help you lose weitgh faster, as bizarre as that seems!

    You really need to start synning & weighing everything properly - its amazing how the little thinsg add up!

  • Hi. Just been looking at slimming world online membership. The bronze membership doesnt include the magazines or books but is £20 cheaper. do i need the books or is the information i need on the bodyoptimise site?
