Retired lady that's a fantastic list of sausages, thanks!

We have some sausages in the freezer that OH bought from a local farmers market about a month ago, there are loads of them. I don't want them to go to waste so was wondering how I would go about working out how many syns they have?

Hmm, do they have any nutritional information on them at all?

Hi, im in a similar situation to you, theres 2 of us doing SW and I have a 4 yr old and a 2yr old. I spend about £50 a week in a big shop (including nappies etc) i then spend around another £10 during the week for top upos (milk, bread etc) I dont buy much meat unlessits whoopsied, then I freeze it. I buy lots of quorn mince and quorn pieces when they are on offer. We live off of pasta, with tuna, cottage pie, spag bol, 3 bean chilli (the kids love this minus the chilli) and the odd meat, veg tatties. The kids eat most of what were eating. I think the most money I spend is on yoghurts for the kids and us, and the odd mugshot. I sit at night and plan the weekly shop, i check all the supermarkets and go to the one with the best deals on tins of toms etc (usually Asda is best overall). It can be done if you plan ahead, I think thats the key. And still make sure you squeeze in choccy biccies for a treat.
Thanks for that, I get majority of my meat reduced and freeze, We have a small morrissons up here but they always have loads of meat anf fish reduced.
I got a whole chicken for 45p last week!
I'm going to do a cupboard and freezer inventory when the kids go to bed.
OH can be a bit of a food snob, thank god for the cold weather, I find the hearty meals easier and cheaper (spagbol, chilli, stews etc)
    I just worry!

Youve just reminded me I was going to make a stew in the slow cooker this Sunday. Thats another good money saving idea, just chuck everything in, on green and EE days add lentils to bulk it out and go further. I have found SW expensive in the past, but that was in the beginning and I was trying to have red days and having lots of pork chops, gammon steaks. I also used to buy lots of pasta n sauces as they were quick. now that im used to it a bit more and reading lots of ideas on here its no more expensive than what my shopping was pre slimming world, infact its a lot cheaper as we would have lots of pizzas, take aways, and more treats. Do you get healthy start vouchers? I still get a little amount as my eldest is 4 now, but I always keep them and use them when im feeling really skint. My oh works away during the week, so to keep in on the straight and narrow i make most of his meals at the weekend and he freezes them for during the week. Ill need to get making more in the slow cooker. He can be a bit of a food snob, but he'd eat stews every night of the week if he could and ive now converted him to quorn mince and pieces.

None whatsoever! just the date they were made. They're made from hand by a local butcher

Hmmm, gonna be difficult then - I guess you'd have to guesstimate the highest possible value - or just feed them all to OH!

I made this soup for lunch, oh my word it was good! I chucked in a spoonful of quark to thicken at it as it was a little thin for my liking, but the taste was amazing!

What would be the highest syn value for sausages then, so I'm on the safe side? there is no way OH is having them all!

Well looking at the list over the page I'm guessing in the region of 5 each on a red/ee day!
