bhafc - the whole lot will be 17 syns - if it was a small one - because of the oil they absorb.

I've got the same problem - family get together tonight & a pub meal wouldn't have been too bad if I exercised willpower, but now they've all decided to get fish n chips in! I've already had 11 syns today and refuse to be sabotaged by my Mum again, so all I get is a bit of fish when I get it out of the batter and go hungry! And nothing to drink except water :(

Morning all, I have two days until official weigh in and my scales are showing a 3lb gain!!! help! :(

Put the scales in the loft and only get weighed once a week on the same scales, same time of day and wearing much the same clothes. If you're following the plan properly the weight will come off.

Sometimes it's as well to take your weight change over 4 weeks instead of every week. This can help if you tend to be one of those odd-bods who only show a loss every second week (there are quite a few people like this).

If you've been tweaking the plan and not following it 100%, you should have time to pull it back by having lots of superfree foods, lots of superspeed foods and drinking plenty of water.

Evening all, I hope I've had a good day good wise.

Breakfast - bite sized shredded wheat and mullerlight
Lunch - red pepper soup and wholemeal toast
    Dinner - spicy beef wraps
Syns - 1 tortilla wrap with my dinner and 4 x after 8 mints (couldn't resist, oops)

I also scoffed a slice of cheese mid morning and have had milk in my tea

Does all that sound ok? I'm planning on having a green day tomorrow with a jacket spud and beans in the local pub for lunch.

I'm thinking of working out a weeks menu starting from tomorrow and sticking to it to make sure I stay on track, do others do this?

Thanks, I've been back on track today and banned myself from looking at the scales let alone standing on them.

I think they're not very accurate anyway actually as I'm just remembered that when I saw my doctor last week to check my blood pressure (which by the way is back to normal now!) she asked to weigh me and I was gobsmacked to see the scales read 10st, 7lb when the scales at home said 2lb more than that!!!

Well done and excellent news about your blood pressure coming down :D Your menu for today looks good but the cheese really should be weighed so that you know whether there was enough to call it a HEA. It definitely is better to plan meals in advance so you're not caught out when you're starving (that's the time the choccie biscuits look even more enticing).

Nic2075 I'm sorry I didn't see your request for sausage info till now, but Marion's list is excellent. I will see if I can find the butchers list tomorrow and post it up. Feeling rotten tonight (full of cold) so off to bed now :)

  • can anyone recommend a yummy recipe using chicken breasts?

I have 8 chicken breasts (for 8 of us) and am in desperate need of inspiration. Nothing too spicy as some of the kids aren't keen. Any ideas? Please? :D thanks xx

Hello everybody - mind if I join in?

I joined Slimming World online at the beginning of the Summer Holidays and have lost 15 pounds since then - today I'm 12st 4lb (today is my WI day on my rubbish scales!).

I want to get down to 9st 12lb hopefully by next Summer. I know I shouldn't put a time limit on it but I'm fed up with it and want to lose it before I get any older - I've just worked out that I've been overweight for 35 years!

My next target is 12st 1lb which is my 10% (I think!) so I am looking for lots of inspiration and motivation as I have stuck a bit over the last couple of weeks.

So my plan is plenty of red days, even though I don't eat much meat (mostly stir-fries, tins of fish and eggs and bacon - I'm getting hungry!), swimming a couple of times a week and my old reliable Davina DVD (I like this DVD but am looking for something similar but different IYSWIM).

Many thanks for the inspiration on this site and good luck to everybody

    HI and welcome :hello:

welldone on a great weightloss so for, youll definently reach your target before next summer if you keep doing what your doing. Hopefully youll get some extra ideas on here. Dont be afraid to ask. Maybe try doing some extra easy days if you dont fancy green. At least you can have noodles with your stir frys and some chips at night to nibble on when bored, or adding beans to your eggs and bacon, this way youll fill up for longer.
I must admit I struggle with red days as im always hungry later in the evening , and by then ive had enough meat and am craving carbs. I do mostly green days but extra easy is great for the odd proper spag bol or like tomorrow were having beef stew, veg and mashed tatties.
