oops - sorry Skint, I should have pointed out that the list I posted is just sausages that are 5 syns or less. There are loads more on the market that have lots of syns, I know some of the Tesco finest ones for example have 9 syns each:eek:When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -

Youve just reminded me I was going to make a stew in the slow cooker this Sunday. Thats another good money saving idea, just chuck everything in, on green and EE days add lentils to bulk it out and go further. I have found SW expensive in the past, but that was in the beginning and I was trying to have red days and having lots of pork chops, gammon steaks. I also used to buy lots of pasta n sauces as they were quick. now that im used to it a bit more and reading lots of ideas on here its no more expensive than what my shopping was pre slimming world, infact its a lot cheaper as we would have lots of pizzas, take aways, and more treats. Do you get healthy start vouchers? I still get a little amount as my eldest is 4 now, but I always keep them and use them when im feeling really skint. My oh works away during the week, so to keep in on the straight and narrow i make most of his meals at the weekend and he freezes them for during the week. Ill need to get making more in the slow cooker. He can be a bit of a food snob, but he'd eat stews every night of the week if he could and ive now converted him to quorn mince and pieces.
Just has a quick look and got loads to be getting on with for the next weeks dinners, OH is not coming hoome until at least tommorrow so I can do something quick and easy for me tonight and leave all the meats and decent stuff for next week.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
I made this soup for lunch, oh my word it was good! I chucked in a spoonful of quark to thicken at it as it was a little thin for my liking, but the taste was amazing!

Whoop we're back online!
Really nervous about going out to dinner tonight - my aunt & uncle are meeting my fiance for the first time, but I'm more worried about the meal! :rotfl:
I'll drive home, so will drink diet coke all night and I guess will try to go for a steak, salad & jacket with no starter or dessert - but is my willpower that good? I've been having some cold ham & turkey with dairylea so not starving hungry but we're not eating until 8pm!
