This is a message for Ebony and other slow losers. A year or so ago, it took me near on 6 months to lose 10 lbs, admittedly had the odd splurge but in the main stuck to the plan.

I felt so much better but because I could not seem to get to the stone loss, I started to feel embarrassed and a failure. Everyone told me I looked great but for me it just was not enough!

So what did I do? Well I did quit smoking, which was a factor but I gave up and gained the whole lot steadily and surely until here I am plus another 2 pounds!

My advice. Be happy to lose slowly. It is good and keeping it off is really the main goal. Don't be daft like me and put yourself under pressure and then give up.

I am now trying to lose a stone. I would dearly love to be that original 10 lbs lighter that I was.

Thank you for this. I will think about your words when I get discouraged!:T

Can I just ask. Oats so Simple (original). Is this an HEB when made with water and not the milk as advised on the packet?

    Thanks.

I've just been for a brisk 30 minute walk so hopefully that will get things moving. I don't know what to do for lunch though? we're having spicy beef wraps for dinner (I found a recipe in an old SW curry booklet) so I guess I should make today a red day......

Liz3yy - stop weighing yourself!!! ;) I get het up on WI day but I couldn't imagine doing so every day getting on the scales! Trust the plan and wait for WI day. How about an omlette for lunch? With salad? Or at least fruit/speed food snacks?

3rd 100% day for me coming up but going out for dinner tonight so a little nervous! Going to be a red day as the place we're going does a lot of seafood I think! yoghurt and a cuppa so far, then a cooked 'breakfast' for lunch. Will also have some ham & laughing cow before we go out in the hope I can resist extra's with dinner!

I've just decided on lunch for today - soup!

I've found a great sounding red pepper soup recipe on the SW website which I have all the ingredients for. I'll have that with a couple of slices of wholemeal bread (from a 400gram loaf of course!)

    Sorted! :D

I know Catt, I'm awful! OH tells me the same thing! I'm sorted for today now anyway after fretting about it all morning, I'm such a muppet!

I've given myself a good talking to though and am vowing to leave the scales alone until Sunday morning, I might even move them to underneath the bed so they're out of sight. Or even ask OH to hide them from me! lol

  • Hi guys,

Im going to a wedding tommorow (Halloween I know! Exciting stuff- for the reception its fancy dress!) and am not sure how to deal with this on SW.

The actual wedding itself won't be a prob as it doesn't start till half 3 ish? so I can have breakfast and lunch before we go. We will be coming back home from wedding to get ready for evevning reception so was thinking of eating something free before I go.

I was thinking about having a red day, as there's a buffet at the reception in the evening. Im presumng there'll be salad which I can fill up on as well as chicken drumsticks (minus the skin obv).

Does anyone else think a red day would be better?
