Weighed in this morning and lost 1lb - 5lbs in 2 weeks after a restart - I'm hoping this time I can stick to it better - sauces are usually my downfall (as are chocolate, bread, crisps, ice-cream )
Think I would have lost more last week if i'd have filled up on loads of superfree foods but wasn't organised enough.
Re: scotch eggs, my SW consultant has got a recipe for these made with Scan Bran that are really low in Syns - I'll ask her for it when I go next week and post on here.
Ebony - I know what you mean about slow weight losses - after the 1st couple of weeks I struggle to do a lb a week if I'm lucky - make sure you are eating your syns tho' as this will help.
I'll have to keep my blinkers on this afternoon at my mums as her house is a sabotager's heaven - I've got my food boxed up with a couple of sinned naughties so hopefully will steer clear of anything off-plan xI'd rather be watching CSI!0 -
ebony90 - do you eat the same things most days? i find if i get stuck in a rut with meals i lose slowly but when i have more variety i lose more.
what do people think of quorn sausages? i've got some in my freezer but i've not got round to trying them yet. I had the low fat morrisons ones and thought they were awful!
i'm having a good week so far but i need it after putting on 1.5lbs this week!0 -
Thanks! I will try a bit more variety in my meals this week.
I try to eat 5 to 10 syns a day. Some weeks I use 30 over the weekend on wine (eeek) and thought cutting this out might help, but after three wineless weeks still no change!
I suppose I am willing to accept smaller weight losses in return for not feeling deprived (remember times doing WW and going to bed early and starving as I'd run out of points ---shudder---)
Just makes me quite fearful of ever veering off plan for any reason as if I had a gain I'd find it a struggle to get back on track weight loss wise IYSWIM0 -
Im not as fan of quorn sausage, to wierd I do like other quorn products though.
I agree the Morrisons ones are a bit tasteless, but they are good BBQ'd (in the summer lol) and vdry good in a cassrole, they take on a bit of flavour. Bowyers ones are a bit better but are 1 syn each.yorkshire_laura wrote: »ebony90 - do you eat the same things most days? i find if i get stuck in a rut with meals i lose slowly but when i have more variety i lose more.

i might give the bowyers a try then thanks and i think i may make a casserole for the quorn ones to try and disguise them!
ebony90 - i had my first gain this week of 1.5lbs (i did have pizza, wine, cheesecake, phish food, haribo, fruit pastilles!) and i'm trying extra hard this week not to go off the rails, especially after someone at work made a comment when offered me a biscuit then they said 'no you've put 1.5lbs on'!0 -
We eat the Bowyers ones all the time and theyre really good, only about 60 cals per sausage I think0

Hi,
I wondered if anyone could join this thread please as I started sw last week and could do with all the support I can get! I had my first weigh in last night and lost 3lb but I'm struggling with what to plan to eat!
Unfortunately I'm not a fan of rice, most green veg, hate pulses and pasta and I only like jacket potatos if smothered in butter! Help.
I love meat, like salad so thats ok, absolutely adore fresh crusty bread and toast etc and of course anything sweet or savoury. I do love fish as well. Does anyone know why smoked mackerel isn't free when smoked salmon is? The other mackerel in tins is free.
I seem to have eaten the same things each day for the first week and just varied the meat and at this stage I don't think I will manage to stick to the diet. I have nearly 4st to lose so really would like to see a steady loss each week if I can.
So far today I have had
bf - fruit and fibre/sk milk
lunch - ham salad with lettuce, ff cottage cheese, cucumber, radishes, tomatoes and ff yodhurt with melon
Thanks for your help or advice.0
