  • Hope everyone had a good weekend! I have had a lovely syn free english breakfast today, that is one of the meals I love SW for! Ive been struggling for a couple of weeks to get totally back in to it and havent been 100% sticking to plan. Part of the reason is I havent had a cooker as it broke 3 weeks ago and I wont be getting a new one for 2 more weeks when the kitchen is finished. I do so many sw recipies that involve oven cooking and this has made it more difficult. Next week I wont even have the hob to use for a week so Im going to have to try my best with the microwave! Also I have been feeling a little deflated, I feel so proud of what I have achieved so far on SW but with another 2 stone nearly to loose I have just been a bit fed up! Trying to kick start myself for this week. The plan is fab just need to get my head in to gear again!
  • Hi Everyone - thnks for all the good advice, particularly from Rupe and Consultant. Marion - so sorry to hear about your dog - it must have been horrific! My little scottie dog is poorly at the moment - he has a bladder tumour and won't recover and I am so upset about it. He is 13 though - so a good old age for a scottie.

I haven't had a good day because I didn't go to bed until after 4am due to DD1 haveing a horrible experience when on night out - won't go into details but she was in a right state:eek:

So - tomorrow is day one for me and I am going to do Extra Easy but write down EVERYTHING I eat and try and stick as near as possible to 10 syns. I have a couple of questions to ask you all - Can you have the new Activia fat free yoghurts - the single pot ones that look like Mullerlight pots? and can you still have bacon? One of the women in my group said that unless you buy the Sainsburys BGTY or the Weight WAtchers bacon it isn't free. I have virtually no food in the house so will go and get a shop in tomorrow and make a real effort to lose this week! Thanks for your support everyone!

Hi Larmy Couldn't agree with you more regarding the directory. The old style
one had the manufacturer listed and everything they made was listed.....so easy to follow.I bought a new one but until they make it easier to follow I will never buy another.

Thanks for the good wishes for Charlie and how sorry I am to hear about your little guy. I know in my brain that they are dogs but in our hearts they are our little boys, so it must be a terrible time for you. I am also glad your daughter is ok, scary old world out there isn't it?

The good news is that bacon is still free, you just have to remove all the fat before eating it. I find a pair of scissors does the job nicely before I slap it onto the Foreman grill - doesn't take long and I cook loads of it! Those Activia yogurts are free too - and I think they are much nicer that muller lights - plus they are about half the price at the moment:T

    Love
    Marion
When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!
  • Mullerlights are 20p each at the mo in asda, not sure how long for, my fridge is full tho!!
Also have bags of sweet potatos for £1, make lush SW chips!
    HTH
  • marion I hope your dog is ok. I'm not a pet person but I'm horrified that something like that could happen :(

I've had a really good weekend - not cheating and done 100%. Hubby made me green chicken curry from the one pot book last night. I sinned my rice and was amazed how much I got for 5 sins!!!!! Spent the rest of the days sins on mango chutney!!!!! Yum!!!!!

Did my food shopping yesterday and only spent £40 on 4 of us for a week - who said healthy living was expensive!!

I'm really noticing a difference in my clothes - I think I've lost my bloated belly rather than anything else.

Ive also been MIA since last week. we had a bit of a blow out on our 2 days in London, we had the best curry ever (Chowki), had a Lebanese lunch of Hummus with olive oil on top and a chicken Shawrma sp (kebab) plus some other bits and bobs and some drinkypoos. But we had an amazing time and LOVED Avenue Q.

However since we got back we have been very ill with the flu. Im getting better but my oh is very ill, NHS 24 said it sounds like swine flu . Im worried about the 2 wee ones getting ill.
The best bit is we have had no appetite at all since Friday so have lived on squash and the odd bit of toast.
Im feeling a bit hungrier now but my oh is in bed with the chills and sweats, so ill have a light dinner I think. Will get back on SW properly by the end of the week I hope, but at least I dont even feel like chocolate or anything.
