Does anyone know of any syn free sausages that Tesco make?, say the equivalent of Morrisons Eat Smart. The Syns directory is just so confusing, wish they would go back to the old style!

I'd love an Actifry JenniPenni but my SWC says that chips in them aren't free (unless you use your HEb as olive oil or syn it) as they still absorb more oil than spraying. I know some people on Minimins POUR Frylight into their actifry but it's not right as far as I know.

No, I don't know any that Tesco do either. It's just Joe's or Morrisons that are completely free.

    I tell a lie!!

  • Ill see what my consultant says about the actifry, though do you know why they absorb more oil?

Just because they're not sprayed, they rotate through it I guess. Didn't ask her as I don't have one but by God when I get to target they'll be one of the first treats!!! :D

    Hi all

I keep thinking that the weight will sneak on while I'm not watching!!!
Didn't quite manage 100% - red day - but will try for a few this week.

Hope every body had a good weekend.

You should be fine hun - I've done a lot worse! 28 syns is easily spreadable throughout the week (well the extra 8 anyway!). If you feel guilty up the water & speed foods ;)

    Tesco 'Healthy Living' thick pork sausages = ½ syn each;
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
  • Marion, I'm so sorry about your little dog. I do hope he's much better by now. I had charge of my daughter's Lhasa Apso a few weeks ago and our Rottweiler got hold of her and shook her like a rag doll. It frightened me to death but the little 'un didn't come to any harm thank goodness, just had a bit of a shock......which abated miraculously when I gave her some chicken, lol.

recovering spendaholic, you got some excellent advice there from rupe34. Don't even think about your total loss, break it down into ½ stones. At each ½ stone lost reward yourself with a manicure or hairdo or whatever floats your boat (got to be syn-free though).

Your appetite honestly can't be bigger than mine, I could get gold at the olympics if there was a catagory for putting food away :D.

Don't worry about the members of your group who only have a stone to lose. It's true they won't take as long to get to their target as you but they won't lose as fast as you do either!

Plan plan plan, the key to success is in successful planning - before you go shopping make a menu planner for the whole week so that you know what you need to buy in. The easiest way to lose the plot is to come home hungry not knowing what you're going to eat.

You need to commit to making changes to what you are doing, because what you have been doing in the past and what you are doing at the moment is not getting you to where you want to be. You need to be honest and accountable for every single mouthful of food that passes your lips. Look at the variey and volume of food you can eat and go for it!

Food Optimising is easy but life isn't. Losing weight is a battle but you have the battle plan in your food optimising book, your secret weapon is free food, and that, together with your healthy extras and syns add up to a healthy way of eating that's a life plan.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
