Morning all, I have a dilemma, but a nice one
At work we're taking turns to make cakes and them in to share with everyone. It's my turn and I'm wondering what to make? I said on Friday I would make a chocolate cake but now I'm unsure what to do. I want to make something the guys will like but at the same time keep the syns down. Any ideas? They have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson

Samll Rice crispie cakes? Can work out the syns per one...0 -
Hmmm don't have any scan bran in, rice crispie cakes sound good though I think the guys are expecting a sponge cake of some sort. They have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson

I don't know about others, but I add half a cup of pudding rice to one cup of water. I bring to the boil then simmer for 12 minutes. Let it cool slightly then add some mullerlight or other fat free yoghurt and some chopped fruit. It makes a huge bowlful and is very fillingThey have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson

Thanks Liz, was just trying to hunt for it, just do it from memory now. I do add sweetner to the water I boil the rice in though.0

I like a warm/hot cereal in the morning and since I have switched to the EE plan on SW I only have 1 HEB to use during the day. If I have cereal in the morning thats it gone:mad:
So I came up with this - I vary it from day to day, for instance today I had blueberry and tomorrow probably rhubarb:j
Cook 1/2 cup of pudding rice in 1 cup of water for about 20 minutes (I use my remoska). Remove from heat put into a bowl, add fruit and a complementing muller yogurt and mix together! ie rice with sliced banana and toffee yogurt, rice with frozen blueberrys and a blueberry yogurt, rice with mandarin segments (chopped) and mandarin yogurt. For best results eat straight away while it is nice and warm! Tastes really nice and is very very filling! Also free on SW so can be made any time you fancy it really!

Sod the sponge cake, I'm going to make some chocolate flapjacks. Not syn friendly but at least OH and I can have one each and I won't feel deprived. They have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson

Hey there,
Am new to all of this, and have been given a mass of materials already (Syn list, Green and Red recipes etc etc).
The one thing I'm missing - and I'm told this is like the holy grail of Slimming World - is he Free Branded Foods book (ideally the 2009 version). Does anyone have a copy I can have (or can someone get hold of one for me so I don't have to pay the membership fee)? I'd be happy to buy it from somone not looking to make exorbitant profits from it..!
Drop me a line if you can help out!
