We had a chap tonight who was also disappointed with his first weeks loss. Our consultant said that sometimes losses take a while to show - and if you have another good week on top of the last good week it'll continue to show (and it does-just as a bad week catches up with you)
The first time I did SW (nearly 8 years ago ) I lost 0.5lb in my first week and was totally devestated. Criedmy eyes out in front of a packed "New Years resolution" class. But I stuck with it and lost 4.5lbs in my second wk (and 3.5stone in 5 months!)
Stick with it hun and you'll do grand!:grouphug:
Thank you. Im glad someone knows teh disappointment I feel, even if it is totally unreasonable! I did SW a year ago and lost 5lbs in my first week! So this feels a bit crud. Onwards now, and I will have a 100% week this week!
I think I read on minimins that you are a bride-to-be too? Whens your date? Mines Oct 2010!0 -
Lol, yes thought I'd get the msg across by posting it twice
:rotfl:
My wedding day is the same day as I would like to reach my target weight - 18th June 2010! :eek:0 -

"lol, yes IKWYM! :rotfl:
Go on then - gimme the recipe (please) and I'll hold you to 3 lbs off!"
YES IT WAS!!! Are you a witch?
Hope it works 2 weeks running0 -
why did i just "punish" myself by eating 2 small scones & jam?? I didnt even enjoy them!!0
-
Oh no!! Don't sabotage yourself!! :grouphug:
I bought myself a Double Decker as a treat tonight to eat in the car on my way home from SW . It's still there as a) I'd got my pizza treat planned and included in last wks syns and b) I knew that as much as the 'idea' of the taste was tempting I knew I wouldn't enjoy it. I'm doing that a lot recently!0 -
WTH is happening in that smilie? LOL!
I know, I need to stop. This is exactly why I quit SW last time - I kept self-sabotaging!0 -
It's a group hug! :rotfl:
Don't you dare quit!!! It takes time but you can get out of that habit - if I can anyone can!

went for my second weigh in yesterday and lost 3 pounds! thats 5 pounds in total. i only need to lose 12 pounds so i very surprised it is coming off so quickly.
just wondering - does everyone go to class alone or with friends. i go alone and like it that way (no one to put me off what i am trying to do!)
i can imagine if my friends notice i have lost weight they will want to jump on the bandwagon. i don't want anyone i know to come to my group!!0 -
I go it alone and like it too - I have enough problem with OH trying to force wine into me!
I think the rate you're going pebblespop you'll be maintaining by the time your friends join!Well done you.
Off to bed for me as I think this cold is trying to take a hold!
