    Hi all.

Skint_Catt - Butternut Squash soup - the recipe said put 1tblsp Worcester sauce in the soup and I think this is too much for me.. it just sort of took over! And I think I don't like BNS too much either! And well done on your 3lb off this week !

missjennipenni - I am a long term self sabotager. I have played mind games with slimming for years and with me it usually comes down to feeling sorry for myself..the kid who wants a biscuit takes over from the adult who knows what she should be doing.. I'm rebelling against myself!!

At the moment my determination is keeping the self-pity at bay but this is something I always have to keep an eye on.

I go it alone and like it too - I have enough problem with OH trying to force wine into me!

I think the rate you're going pebblespop you'll be maintaining by the time your friends join! ;) Well done you.

Off to bed for me as I think this cold is trying to take a hold!

i just feel that if other people tried to tag along with me they wouldnt be as comitted as me and would be saying - i can't be bothered tonight! and it would put me off going to WI or sticking to the plan.

it's much easier to do on my own. my hubby has been ok with it and isn't trying to tempt me with takeaways. i am cooking him really nice steaks etc so he is quite enjoying it!
  • Wanted to go it alone but my sister joined in.......
It was good while it lasted, we made lovely slimming world chips together and i enjoyed the company at classes. But she's not interested any more and my determination is still there, strong as ever. So it's back to going it alone. My sister is already slim enough anyways so not the same urgency for her.
  • i go on my own as well, theres only my boyfriend who knows i go because i feel that way i'm doing it for myself and nobody else. my boyf is supportive and eats what i eat (but then i think he is just to lazy to cook his own meals!!)

Franby have you chucked your soup out? I make BNS soup with sweet potato, carotts and lentils for the kids all the time. They like it smooth and thick. Im not so fussed on the soup as it can be quite sweet, but last week there was left over in the pot so I cooked an onion, curry powder, garam masala, cumin powder garlic and ginger, cooked it out a bit then added quorn chicken pieces, added half a tin of tomatoes and the soup, towards the end I added fresh spinach.. My oh said it was the best SW curry he'd had so far. it was tasty and the BNS and lentils gave it a dahl texture, I reckon you could syn a little light coconut milk and make it into a korma as well.
From now on ill be keeping some soup aside on purpose and using it for various curry bases. I reckon the curry powder would over power the worcestor sauce.

Thank God for Scan Bran!!! 3 lbs off! Whoop! :D

I'm having a free small pepperoni pizza from The Sun newspaper and SW chips :o but I will be 100% good the rest of the week to make up for the treat!

I REALLY wanted to get that pizza last night but decided against it because of SW.
I might though, get it on Thursday for me and DS1 to share after his first after school football club session.

I go to class alone, and dont know any of the other members. I liek it that way too, I am not ready to share my SW experince with people i know just yet.

I have had a stern talk to myself, and I am back to being 100% committed. I WILL be a slimmer bride! Thanks for showing that I am not the only self-sabotuer!

Just had some fried slice dpolenta, and spaghetti hoops for brekkie! Was quite yummy.

nic2075 - your recipe sounds much nicer - more of the things I know I like.
The soup is in the freezer in food limbo while I decide its' fate!
