Quick question, I'm going to my first group tomorrow and need to know. On the website for the instructor she's got 2 times for the class I want to go to in this format:

    Community Hall
    Local Road,
    Glasgow
    Tuesdays 5:30 PM, 7:00 PM

does that mean there's 2 classes, one at half five and the other at seven? I just got told i need to work til 5 tomorrow so i'll not get there in time for the half 5 class i was planning on going to.

Catt you will get there. Your doing everything right. Your body will be retaining water for the extra muscle you are building with the exercise. plus that muscle weighs more than fat.
i know you want to lose the weight for you, and so you feel right on your big day. Maybe you could reduce your target? Instead of aiming at 3 stone (I think, sorry if its not) then even 1 stone. Have you not just lost a stone? It may of taken you longer than your usual, but youve did it.
Think back to when you lost the weight before. Did you not look great after just a 2 stone loss?
I felt great after that, I think I started to slow down after that and cheat a bit because I was actually happy with the new me. It was still a stone and half away from my target, but I had to admit Iooked fitter and healthier. Its so hard mentally when you lose a good bit of weight, as you cant see past the fat, you cant see the slimmer you, you only see yourself the way you were and the target youve set.
what im trying to say is, dont be so hard on yourself, and maybe the target youve set would be great and youd fit into a size 10/12, but realistically you'd look just as fantastic losing 1 or 2 stone.
I hope I havent offended you if Ive got how much you want to lose wrong, im trying to think to the things youve said in your posts and my goals really.

if all else fails, get out the scan bran ;).

looks like theres 2 classes. Theres usually a mobile number, maybe you could call her in the morning to check. My class lasts about an hour and a quarter. The first half hour is usually weighing in, she keeps this 'open ' until 6.30, so maybe if you even got there at 5.45 you will still be ok.

the phone number is a landline and i'm worried she'll be at work during the day and off to the classes at night so i wont be able to catch her tomorrow. I don't want to turn up and realise i've missed a class because it got cancelled last week due to weather and i just want to start now lol.

Could you maybe call the venue and ask them what time its on?. I would give her a try anyway, she might have an answer phone wit the details on it. let us know if you make to one and how you get on.

    Morning All,

Another night with very little sleep. I hope its was just nerves about WI as I had a period of insomnia before and during the summer hols which lasted 9 weeks, it was awful and I've no wish to repeat that.

Am just having a cup of tea and some of marions rice before getting the kids dressed for school ( one stil asleep!). WI at 10am then work at 11.30 so will post results sometime after school.

Hope you all have a good day.

Morning all! I've been reading your thread for the last week and kept meaning to post! I joined my local group last Monday so yesterday was my first weigh in and I lost 2lbs!!

I'm pleased with that cos it took me a few days to understand the plan and get the cupboards stocked with slimming world friendly food! Hoping for a good loss this week.

I work full time and usually take some breakfast to eat at my desk around 9am (leave home at 7.30 and can't stand to eat that early!). Any ideas for desk friendly breakfasts I can bring from home? So far I have been bringing cereal and milk but that takes up my HEA & HEB (I'm on Extra Easy) so hoping for some new ideas :)

Also, forgot to get the password in class last night - does anyone know what day last weeks password will stop being valid online? Really annoyed cos I use the website all the time!

Was dreading weigh in last night as have missed 3 weeks due to Christmas and other commitments but am pleased to announce that I stayed the same :eek::eek:. Can't believe it considering I had a couple of weeks of eating what I fancied and it just goes to show that maybe sub-consciously I am not eating as badly as I thought.

Got two weeks until my birthday so I'm hoping to get 4 pounds off by then and I am only 1.5 pounds away from my first half stone so that would be lovely by next week.

It great to have a look at all the different recipes on here for ideas so thanks everyone for the inspiration. :D

Coco - Hi and well done on your weight loss. :T:T:T

I can agree that cereals can get a bit boring so here are a couple of ideas.

Melon/Fruit salad - I love this as it still leaves my HEB free and once chopped up will last a couple of days in the fridge.
    Muller light with banana/strawberries/other fruit

Have you got your consultants mobile number? I'm sure he/she wouldn't mind you texting to find out what the password is or email them if you have that. I went to class last night but competely forgot to look and ended up doing this myself!

    Good luck this week!;)

    Hi and welcome.
that passwords usually overlap by 2 weeks. As Kaz said give your consultant a ring or text and she will happily tell you the new one.

As for brekkies, have you tried Marions rice recipe? its good cold with a muller lite (or any other fat free yoghurt) mixed in. You just have to be organised in the morning to have it ready.
you could also try making a sort of breakfast fritatta, using mushrooms, bacon/ham, tomato etc then making a fritatta and cutting it into squares. If I put ham in it, I love it with 1/2 tsp of course grain mustard, but maybe leave out the mustard for breakfast lol. you could also add left over potato to fill you up. hth
