no, they werent dried; i took advanatge of the offer i Tesco, so it was a bag of fresh Egg noodles!?? How does this make a difference???

So,i had just over a 1/3 of the pack of pasta, so its about 7 Syns?
And i had about 1/3 of the sauce, so about 4 Syns?

mmmm.....thats quite a lot for dinner, isnt it!! I may have to make my own patsta sauce....I just love that J.Oliver one! I think i need to invest in a few chillis to make it as hot as i like!!

Not sure, but it is the same with the pasta. The dried pasta is free but fresh pasta has syns. I think the fresh pasta and noodles have oil added to them to keep them moist?

Fresh Egg Noodles, Thread, chilled, 100g 2½ syns

Fresh Egg Pasta, Fusilli, chilled, 100g 2½
Fresh Egg Pasta, Penne, chilled, 100g 3
Fresh Egg Pasta, Shells, chilled, 100g 2
When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!

Oh poo, that means I've had more syns today than I thought. Must remeber to ask my consutant about them as the online thingy doesnt distinguish between fresh and dried.

dont worry we all have the odd day like this, dont beat yourself up. Just count it as a flexi syns day and start afresh tomorrow. I usually have at least one flexi syns day every 2-3 weeks cos i just go mad and cant stop eating the wrong food. its important to get up tomorrow and forget about today and start again. my biggest let down is saying 'sod it' and not stick to it for the rest of the week, then its 2 weeks and so on.

Thanks for this. I have now gone and planned exactly what I am going to eat tomorrow to get back on track.

B - weetabix not a HEB however the weetabix minis are - 28g plus a Ryvita wholegrain crackerbread (TBH - I hadn't realised either and have been having 2 for breakfast this week:o)
L - tuna was ok (assuming not in oil) - low fat mayo will need to be synned,
D - Roast chicken good - skin removed of course, gravy needs to be synned.

You do seem to be on the right path so I wouldn't worry too much. Don't forget about your syns, when I try to be extra good and not have syns - I never lose weight. On the weeks when I eat everything I am supposed to including all my syns I have a good loss!

    Good luck
    Marion

    Thanks Marion
I had though about syns but trying to be too good at mo and not sure what to have as syns

Sorry to start the weetabix saga - I had thought I had read somewhere they were a HEB and then they weren't listed in my Food Optimising book as one so panicked and thought I had it wrong
Really pleased they are but will also look at different cereals.
With regard to syns, I am not specifically adding them but assume that things like my low fat mayo is one and also gravy on my roast dinner

Hi, I know everyone cooks pudding rice differently, but thought I would let you know what i do re marion's rice.

I just measure half cup of rice to 1 cup (and a bit) of boiling water. Then simmer for 20 mins, or until rice soft enough (then add the extras)..no need to soak overnight :)

I've never heard of soaking rice overnight before cooking!

Well I've had a really good day today - no syns so far and no HEb so do I have smoked salmon pate (free with quark) on Krisprolls or a Hi-Fi or a mince-pie ;)

It just means its absorbing some of the water overnight and therefore takes less time to cook x
