  • Hi guys,

Just had my tea. Had half a packet of ASDA Good For You Red Pepper and Balsamic Tortelloni (4 syns on Green) with some of my tomato and veggy sauce.

I didn't think half a packet would be enough (eyes bigger than belly syndrome!), but as it turns out I couldn't even eat it all!!

Stuffed now but it was gorgeous.

Been out this afternoon and stocked up on loads of lovely fresh fruit and veggies. Can't seem to get enough of clementines at the moment, they're so nice.

Hi to flutterbyuk, Hope you manage to walk to work ok in this weather! Seems to be thawing a bit now though :)

I'm back at work tomorrow after 2 weeks off, hmmmmm! Would rather stay at home, but will be taking loads of fruit and some spicy butternut squash soup with me.
Thinking of investing in a food flask so I can take in some hot pasta dishes etc.

    Thanks!

I should be ok to walk to work, it's not snowy here, just a bit icy. I have proper walking boots for work so I'll wear those, and I figure I'll wak quicker if it's freezing! :rotfl:

The tortelloni sounds yummy, I have only just discovered that I like tortelloni so I may pop to Asda to get some this week.

Having another OK EE day today - noodles, peas and sweetcorn for breakfast and a lamb stew and baked potatoes (with loads of marg - a weakness but all counted) for dinner.
Just a quick question which I should know - is pudding rice the same as Arborio rice? I've got some of that and some Mullerlites now they're on offer - would this work for the breakfast rice?
    Thanks

Yes you can use the Arborio rice - it is a little expensive though! I just use the normal pudding rice which is free. The flaked rice is not free though! I have copied my original post below - how it helps you all! I sometimes have it of an evening - fills me up and stops me snacking on c**p!

Cook 1/2 cup of pudding rice in 1 cup of water for about 20 minutes (I use my remoska). Remove from heat put into a bowl, add fruit and a complementing muller yogurt and mix together! ie rice with sliced banana and toffee yogurt, rice with frozen blueberrys and a blueberry yogurt, rice with mandarin segments (chopped) and mandarin yogurt. For best results eat straight away while it is nice and warm! Tastes really nice and is very very filling! Also free on SW green and EE so can be made any time you fancy it really!

Hi Marion, do you mind it I add your rice recipe to post 3 of this thread? I was going to delete the info on there as its not that important then do a fav recipe post. That way we can post the recipes that people ask for the most often, like your rice. Maybe a nice curry recipe for example.

    hi all,

today is a green day for me and I have had -

Breakfast - 28g of porridge sweetened with splenda and some frozen berries.
Lunch- Spaghetti with chopped tomatoes and quorn meatballs.
Dinner - SW chips with spaghetti hoops.
    Snack - Spanish tortilla.

I will have some chopped strawberries later.

I didn't like the quorn meatballs so only ate one......even my ds didn't manage to eat his.

I have also made a batch of tomato sauce with loads of veg in to use on EE days.

I only went shopping on friday and will have to go again tomorrow for more fruit and veg.
Lead me not into temptation, I can find the way myself.

wins - peroni bottle opener, peroni bowl, peroni coastersx2 and a vodkat cocktail kit,
would love to win something 'proper'!!

Well I think I've done ok on food today, though I do need to have another HE a and b, might have a snack later of ryvita with extra light cheese triangles - YUM.

Breakfast - Slice of wholemeal toast with baked beans.
Lunch - Fruit salad made with apple, nectarine and pear.
Dinner - Vege stir fry (carrot, pepper, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, savoy cabbage, red and yellow pepper, baby sweetcorn and sugarsnap peas) with egg noodles and some blue dragon sauce.

The sauce was 6 syns (!) used it as it was in the cupboard and there is already so much food going unused in there I couldnt bear to leave it. As it turns out it was really bland and have deided that soy, garlic and ginger will not only be nicer next time but free also!

EDIT:I wanted to add that the vege stir fry I had tonight was from tesco, only £1 a bag and I only used half of it, egg noodles £1 a bag and used half of them also - Bargain!!

Can I ask which flavour Blue Dragon sauce you used? I have some of the Black Bean one in the cupboard that I normally use with stirfry but not sure I'd want to use 6syns on it!

Stick with it debjay! You might have a bigger loss next week - if it helps just put your food diary on here each day - we will soon let you know if you are going wrong:rotfl:;)!
Don't forget at a pound a week that would be 52 pounds by the end of the year!

It was a soy and sweet chilli one, you'd have to check the syn calc though as they each have differing values. I've had the black bean before and prefer that one to the one I had tonight.
