Hi Marion, do you mind it I add your rice recipe to post 3 of this thread? I was going to delete the info on there as its not that important then do a fav recipe post. That way we can post the recipes that people ask for the most often, like your rice. Maybe a nice curry recipe for example.
There is a dedicated thread for recipes here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=1948340&postcount=3
and the link to post recipes is here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=3412194&posted=1#post3412194
Syn free curry sauce (the best I've ever tasted)
1 Onion
2 cloves Garlic
1 tsp finely grated ginger
1tbsp hot or med curry powder
400g tin chopped tomatoes
57ml/2fl oz veg stock
2 tbspn sweetener
57g/ 2oz natural yoghurt or Quark/fromage frais
1 tbspn chopped mint (optional)
1 tbspn chopped coriander (optional)
Chop onions and crush garlic. Spray frying pan with fry light and place on heat - add onion, garlic, and ginger and fry for 1-2 mins before adding curry powder.
Stir and cook for another couple of mins then add tomatoes, sweetener and stock.
Bring to boil and reduce heat to simmer gently for 12-15 mins.
Blitz sauce in food processor or with hand blender, and return to heat. Heat gently and add quark/yoghurt/fromage frais and herbs.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Well depressing discovery for today was that a hot chocolate, even with skimmed milk, is 8.5 syns. I'd hoped the skimmed milk could be a HEA and therefore it would be 4ish sins but...well lesson learned
It was yummy though.
Apart from that, boiled eggs and a HEB slice of toast for breakfast, and pasta with tomato sauce for tea. I'd bought a haddock fillet with intentions of having it with SW chips and (synned) parsley sauce but with the whole hot chocolate debacle alas it wasn't possible
Can I ask are SW chips always free on all three plans?? thanks!
Oh and on the body magic side walked into and all around town - I would say about 40 mins proper walking plus another 40 of dandering. So not too bad.
Hope you're all sticking with it!0 -

Don't forget at a pound a week that would be 52 pounds by the end of the year!

Thanks for words of support - much needed at mo!!!
B weetabix with skimmed milk from HEA
L tinned tuna with cooked pasta shapes/cuc/carrot mixed with FF fromage frais and low fat mayo (recipe from the try EE for 7 days that I printed off before I started)
D roast chicken with carrots, new pots and green beans and gravy

Sw chips are free on green and EE, not Red im afraid. Healthy extras areound 6 syns, so if you havnt had any more hea you could count your hot choc as 6 syns and syn the 2.5.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

B - weetabix not a HEB however the weetabix minis are - 28g plus a Ryvita wholegrain crackerbread (TBH - I hadn't realised either and have been having 2 for breakfast this week:o)
L - tuna was ok (assuming not in oil) - low fat mayo will need to be synned,
D - Roast chicken good - skin removed of course, gravy needs to be synned.
You do seem to be on the right path so I wouldn't worry too much. Don't forget about your syns, when I try to be extra good and not have syns - I never lose weight. On the weeks when I eat everything I am supposed to including all my syns I have a good loss!
Good luck

.
Ive never seen that second recipe page, thats fantastic. Do you know how to copy and put that link into the 3rd post of this thread so its always there? Ive tried but eveytime I check and click on it, it says post not found. I was going ot put them all in one post so we can find them easily and direct people to a specific post if they are looking for a particular recipe. thanks:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

weetabix are not a HEB??????:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
I swear I thought they were, ive eaten loads of them as my brekkie and counted them as heb. just double checked my books and of course you are right! why on earth did i think they were? Im not even that keen on them:o but they are quick and fill me up.oops
I do have the weetabix crunchy bran at the moment, you can have 42g of that as a heb and its delish.
When you think you know the plan inside out, theres always something to learn.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
OK Ladies to top my rubbish day off yesterday, I have had an even more rubbish one today. I ended up stuffing my face in McD's. I felt really sh**tty and down and just went in there without a thought.
I feel so bad I could cry.
Hopefully going to try and re start again tomorrow.Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0
