Got myself the SW magazine when I was out and about this morning and will have a look. Quite nervous about going to first session and want to know what to expect. The magazine looks good though and I got a recipe book for desserts with it for free which is going to be handy because I have a very sweet tooth.
Everyone else at the group is just the same as you - ie wants to lose weight.
DO 'Stay to Group' statistically you have a better chance of success if you do;
DO take an active part in the group once you get intothe SW lifestyle. In as much as tell the group what you are doing/not doing when successful/not successful.
You can expect to be welcome, but if you don't initially know anyone else in your group, naturally will feel a bit of an outsider, but keep going each week, and if it is anything like our group - only been to one - you will soon integrate and start to feel part of a group of like-minded people.
DO seriously consider 'Body Magic' - (exercise programme which will be explained to you at the Group) you can keep it low key and suited to your life style and still benefit.
I am a fellow, went in by myself because I determined I had to do something. There are only 3 men who attend, and I am the only one who 'stays to group'.
Started 30/6/09 at 20stone 9, and now 17stone 12, and aim to lose another 3 stone by April 2010.
Have been given loads of awards, and voted Most Inspirational Member by my fellow 'Stay to Group' members
As a member you get the magazine at reduced rate. The price has just changed and I cannot remember the new figure, but it is cheaper than shop price. You also get access to the SW Website with all its useful features. I access the site constantly.
Hope this helps.si talia jungere possis sit tibi scire satis 0 -
Thanks, my problem is I wanted to start on tuesday past but the class was off due to snow so i'm trying to keep myself motivated til this tuesday. The magazine is quite good, very inspiring. Is it a weekly or a monthly?0

What do you do with the pancakes then? Just roll the whole banana up in the pancake?0 -

Lunch; salad (YUMMY!) & satsuma & banana
Dinner; curry & savoury rice (will have to guesstimate syns as it's pre-made by Mum from a jar - I'd say 6 max as there's only a small serving)

The christmas & NY ones (and I think the summer one) are bi-monthly but they are usually a monthly magazine - you save something like 90p buying it at class rather than in the shops (plus you should get it earlier too!)
I've got magazines dating back to 2002 (when I first did SW) and they are brilliant for ideas. Obviously some of the syns have changed but you can check these online and adapt to modern plans!0
