With my cuppa at night i like a kit kat (51/2) or a blue ribband (5). My Oh likes his toast in the evening, so if hes used his heb during the day, hes happy to use 6 syns for bread. Id much rather have a glass of wine, but if thats what your craving and have syns left over then thats the best way to stay on track.
Have you tried doing a green day? That way you could have 2 x heb.
if im doing a green my day is something like this -
brekkie - 2 x poached eggs on toast (heb) , beans
lunch - mugshot, and a cheese sandwich (hea, heb)
dinner - 3 bean chilli and rice or mushroom rissotto, or baked bean lasagne (really yummy), all free and filling
snacks, shape yoghurts and fruit
at night when im hungry I make a batch of SW chips and have them with fromage frais mixed with 1/2 tsp sweet chilli sauce. Then I have a cuppa and my kit kat.
instead of having the sandwich at lunch time you could save it for toast for supper and have a pasta salad or baked tattie.
your day looks pretty good though, quite varied. But it looks like you didnt use all your syns, so if your happy then syn your bread. At least that way you wont get fed up one day and end up having 4 slices of white toast (yes ive done it ) and messing everything up.
whatever you do, dont deprive yourself of what you like. hth
Thanks, youve gave me a couple of ideas!
Although, i think i still have my head in "weight watcher/Rosemary conley" thinking.
Also, about the Syns, i was trying to use as little as i could, therefore the ast 2 days i have used them only for adding to my main meal,no chocolate or biscuits or treats at all.
also....ive being havin milk as me HEA, nutonly using 1/4of it for tea....could i use 1/2 amount of butter and 1/2 amount of milk for my combined HEA instead of synning one??Carla-Farla!!

i've not got off to a good start today, i stayed at my dads and he brought me porridge and french toast in bed for breakfast. that after the roast belly pork and cheesecake for tea last night!0 -

your not supposed to combine your hea's but i do sometimes. I very rarely have all my milk allowance as I only drink it in tea, unless im having cereal. So I have the few dashes I have in my tea, then insread of 42g low fat cheese I only have the 28g.
This isnt recommended as it easy to miscount. I only do it now and again if I fancy cheese on EE.
Also butter is not a hea. so if your going to mix your hea's then at least only have a little milk and a little cheese. trying to split it into quarters etc is too complicated and will hinder your weight loss.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Hello Ladies
Have been following this thread for a few days and feeling quite homesick!...I did SW very sucessfully about 6 years ago and lost 5 stone...have since emigrated to Australia and have put it all back on and then some.... have tried Weight Watchers 3 times but have had little success. So I thought I'd give SW a go - Extra Easy is new to me... I think I understand it though. The thing I'm finding difficult is replacing full fat foods with low fat/no fat as they are not readily available here. We have non-fat yoghurt, and extra lean mince, but no muller light...no low fat sausages, no quorn, no fat free fromage frais...no batchelors rice, pasta n sauce etc... all the things I used to use! There is a SW site called bodyoptimise.com for online 'diets' which translates recipies into 'aussie' but it's pricey to join. Sometimes I just want to come 'home' so I can go back to my old SW class and consultant! But then again...it was 36 degrees here today and I spent most of it in our pool!
Anyway it's great that this thread exists and I shall follow it with interest..even if I can't buy half the ingredients to make your yummy recipes!0 -
Good morning everyone,
Is anyone able to explain to me what the situation is with fruit please? I understand that it free if raw, but not if tinned or cooked (though for the life of me cant understand why apple stewed only in water and spices is a syn?!). Is it not free if you blitz it into a smoothie either? I really need to up my fruit intake as am currently eating none at all and want to make sure I am doing the right thing.
Thanks in advance,
Al xx
My consultant told us that it was because your not actually chewing the fruit. So its going in as pure fruit sugar rather than working it by chewing. Also when your having smoothies or orange juice you would be consuming loads of fruit. You wouldnt be able to eat all the oranges in one go that would go into orange juice. Im not sure if the properties of cooking fruit changes when cooking it, i.e makes the sugars come out. Its all too scientific for me.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Morning all (or afternoon now).
I've been feeling really down about the plan this week. I only put on 2 over Xmas and was looking forward to getting it off this week but no matter what I do this week I'm always hungry!
I'm very naughty and weigh myself even morning because I'm a geek and I like to see how my weight fluctuates and so far this week it's stayed constant. It's good that I haven't put any on but bad that I haven't lost either.
Oh well, I'll keep at it and the weight will come off eventually.
This morning to cheer myself up I've made a proper weekend brunch and made a pot of fresh coffee and had baked beans, scrambled eggs, Quorn sausages and 3 Pogen wholewheat toast thingies.
I hope everyone is doing OK in the snowy weather!0 -

Hi and welcome :hello:. I know where id rather be, it was -11 c here when I woke,up brrr.
It must be hard not having all those things, but it could still be done, you would probably do better as you could use a lot more fresh stuff rather than connvenience batchelors rice and pasta n sauces.
If you can get lean mince and drain any excess fat, or buy fresh lean streak and mince it your self.
You could buy low fat natural yog if you can get it and add fresh fruit.
You would just have to be more organised to make meals in advance so you can heat things up quickly.
it might be worth spending the extra money to join the online group, at least you could find you what products you can have.
Saying all that, I couldnt live without my mugshots lol.
Can you get dried foods posted to you? I know theres tight restrictions on food stuff.
let us know how you get on.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
I'm having an EE day.
I cooked a gorgeous breakfast this morning - quorn sausages, fried egg, tomatoes, mushrooms & bacon all cooked in frylight and a tonne of baked beans, I'm stuffed!

Got myself the SW magazine when I was out and about this morning and will have a look. Quite nervous about going to first session and want to know what to expect. The magazine looks good though and I got a recipe book for desserts with it for free which is going to be handy because I have a very sweet tooth.0
