Banana Bread but I don't know a SW version. Got the recipe if you want to make it for someone else? My FIL likes it so I always make it for him!

Does anyone know what I could do with a almost full bunch of over ripe bananas? they're getting too ripe for me to eat them whole and I can't face cold yohurt in this weather.

Apparently very nice baked in their skins in tinfoil with a couple of squares of good chocolate inserted. Never tried it myself but it sounds good. Nutella and banana pancakes being one of my all time favourite treats :)

You don't actually do anything to puree or mash them though  just put a slit in them and cook them, but maybe you're right - you were right about the brie :D which was delicious by the way. Just had a truly vile COU yogurt - or half of it given it was so disgusting. I still feel like I have a nasty taste in my mouth despite wolfing down half a pack of beetroot afterwards and then cleaning my teeth. Think I will have to investigate mullerlight tomorrow :)
  • Hi all,

This morning was my first official weigh in after doing the plan online for a week, and....... I've lost 3 pounds - hoorah!!

    Starting weight - 13 st 4
    Target weight - 10 st 10

    Current weight - 13 st 1

To the person who asked about what to do with ripe bananas - I peel them, chop them into pieces then freeze in a freezer bag or tupperware. They are then a great addition to fruit smoothies and it makes them taste like you've added ice cream when blended.
Although I know smoothies are synned, but it's still a healthy option and it means you can store your bananas until you're ready.

    Cheers,

    Ali

With my cuppa at night i like a kit kat (51/2) or a blue ribband (5). My Oh likes his toast in the evening, so if hes used his heb during the day, hes happy to use 6 syns for bread. Id much rather have a glass of wine, but if thats what your craving and have syns left over then thats the best way to stay on track.

Have you tried doing a green day? That way you could have 2 x heb.
if im doing a green my day is something like this -
brekkie - 2 x poached eggs on toast (heb) , beans
lunch - mugshot, and a cheese sandwich (hea, heb)
dinner - 3 bean chilli and rice or mushroom rissotto, or baked bean lasagne (really yummy), all free and filling
    snacks, shape yoghurts and fruit

at night when im hungry I make a batch of SW chips and have them with fromage frais mixed with 1/2 tsp sweet chilli sauce. Then I have a cuppa and my kit kat.

instead of having the sandwich at lunch time you could save it for toast for supper and have a pasta salad or baked tattie.

your day looks pretty good though, quite varied. But it looks like you didnt use all your syns, so if your happy then syn your bread. At least that way you wont get fed up one day and end up having 4 slices of white toast (yes ive done it ) and messing everything up.
whatever you do, dont deprive yourself of what you like. hth

    Good morning everyone,

Is anyone able to explain to me what the situation is with fruit please? I understand that it free if raw, but not if tinned or cooked (though for the life of me cant understand why apple stewed only in water and spices is a syn?!). Is it not free if you blitz it into a smoothie either? I really need to up my fruit intake as am currently eating none at all and want to make sure I am doing the right thing.

    Thanks in advance,
    Al xx

I actually thought of that last night! thanks :)

The idea of freezing them is good too for future use. I think a combination of both will do the trick
