Managed to get my fruit yesterday so am trying to get stuck into EE but it's really hard to think of veggies first and free food 2nd. In this weather I just want to eat pasta with baked beans & not worry about the 1/3 veg (or fruit!)
I tend to think of it in terms of the meal rather than the individual plate. So for example, have your pasta and beans but have one or two pieces of fruit and a yogurt as your dessert. That's what I usually do and it works well for me. I know everyone is different, but for me not every meal can have 1/3 of a plate of veg. Where it isn't possible try and incorporate fruit or carrot sticks as a snack later on.
Like someone said a few posts ago, if you get your EE meals balanced, 9 times out of 10 you won't feel the need to snack. Experiment a little and see how it goes. I suppose it's different for those who go to class, but I tend to swap and change things a bit to make it suit better. Try not to be too strict with yourself!
The plan works and we know that - it just sometimes needs a bit of tinkering and perseverance until we get it spot on!0 -
I don't snack anyway - I got out of the habit of that with Rosemary Conley. Trouble is EE is bringing it back as I can't have fruit in pasta & beans so have to have it separately0

But surely, if you have the fruit as a dessert while your sat eating your meal, you'll be full?0 -
Yes, probably, but I was just saying in this weather I don't want the fruit bit! I don't want dessert with breakfast, lunch AND dinner! I didn't say I wasn't full-it's just hard to have to incorporate it into EVERY meal.0

Hi Consultant,
Does this apply to all the Oxo cube range? Did SW science catch up with the cube or did the cube loose calories? Sounds like I need to blag a new book.

For a quick, tasty drink when it's bitterly cold out (like now) I have a beef Oxo crumbled into a mug of hot water. It just seems to hit the spot and they're syn-free now.Feb 09 108kg, Mar 09 103kg, Apr 09 98kg, May 09 93kg, Jun 09 92kg, Jul 09 90kg, Dec 09 101kg (Doh)0 -
