    Hello All,

I joined SW on tuesday having previously only ever done WW. I'm at my all time heaviest of 18st09lb, I didnt even weigh this much when 9 month pregnant with my son who was over 10lb.

I've been finding the plan ok, am following green days only as am vege so thats whats suits me. I'm struggling with not snacking and REALLY miss bread and cheese but have found that 2 ryvita with marmite for 3 syns is nice.

I'm confused by the HE though, I though on green or red days you were allowed one from A and one from B. Is that right or is it meant to be 2 from each?

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all.

    Bye for now,
    Al x

Hi Kiwichick and welcome to the thread.

On the Original (red) and Green plans you can have 2 each of the healthy extras. It's only on the Extra Easy plan that you're limited to one of each as the plan is so much more generous overall.

There's no reason for you not to snack if you're hungry - that's what free food is for, but, if you ate a little more at meal times perhaps you could manage without the snacks - worth experimenting anyway :)

It may take a week or two for you to get to know the plan well, but when you do, I'm sure you'd never want to go back to WW (I certainly wouldn't).

On the Green plan you could try a free breakfast of pudding rice made up with water. When cooked and cooled a little, mix in a Mullerlight and some chopped fresh fruit for a yummy and filling meal.

Lunchtime could be jacket potato filled with home made egg mayonnaise (my new favourite)(be sure to use extra light mayo) and a side salad.

Dinner could be something pasta or rice based. If you add plenty of veg (mushrooms, onions etc) you should feel fuller and then you've still got your HEs for the evening + some syns.

Hope this helps. Be sure to get the magazine from your group, it will help with putting some menus together and look online at the 7 day plans.

ETA: sorry Marion, I'm a slow typist and crossed posts with you.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Hopefully they are nicer than Morrissons free ones, i think there a bit tastless. I was going to have these the other day but forgot to check the syns, so didnt want to have them incase they were more.

Ive been so hungry tonight. We had chilli and rice at 5pm, it was too early for me. I have eaten tons of fruit and just had low fat super noodles. Not very tasty but filled a gap. Had a 100% day so far.

Had pasta with tomato and garlic sauce for tea. Made double so i have some to take to work tomorrow.

It was WW tomato and garlic pasta sauce and has 1 WW point per half a jar (I had half with tonights pasta) Anyone hazard a guess at what that would equate to in syns?

  • Hi Everyone - I have just compelted my second day on EE and still finding it a bit difficult (really want to have a piece of bread and butter.....:o) Today I have had:

Breakfast: 1 caramel snack a jack with banana (2.5 syns)

Lunch: Tuna in brine, lettuce, tomato, beetroot, spring onions
cold pasta - all mixed up with vff cottage cheese with onion
and chives and 2tbs Heinz salad cream light (4 syns); 1 pear
I made pasta with colemans packet cheese sauce for DD2
and it smelled so lovely that I couldn't resist eating
about 3 mouthfuls so I will count that as 5 syns.

Dinner: hot pot made of extra lean stewing beef, chopped carrots,
celery, onions, parsnips and potatoes - cooked in oxo with
chopped leeks and dried thyme; melon chunks

HeA and B will be 2 weetabix and milk for my supper.

Does this sound okay? I have to say that the hotpot was absolutely delicious - normally I fry the meat first and dot the potatoes on top with butter, but today I did neither and it was still lovely! Didn't feel like diet food at all.

Hope you are all having a good evening!
