Mullerlights were on offer this morning when I called into Tescos - 5 for £1.
I'm restarting SW and gonna try it from home for a month to see how I get one before rejoining a class, I sometimes don't know what time I'll get out of work if we are really busy, so would hate to be paying for a class that I can't get to through no fault of my own iyswim.0 -
Lauri - as long as you let your consultant know in advance that you can't make it (even if it's an hour) then you won't pay for the classes you miss.0
-
Thanks Skint_Cat, I'm gonna give it a go and see how I get on doing it without going to class and if my willpower packs in I'll rejoin the class.0

Why is your OH sceptical? It's a healthy eating plan for life, not a fad diet. Do you remember the Home Ec posters with the circle divided into the different foods groups exampling how much of each you should be having? Well SW replicates that. Lots of good salads, veggies & fruit, some fibre/calcium and a little less of that in high sugar/low beneficial foods.
He's not sceptical about the approach...just that he likes to 'wing it' when cooking and doesn't like following recipes...so wanted to show him that it wouldn't be massively different from what he does now, just with less of certain things - when I met him I was 3 stone lighter after losing it with SW - 7 years later I'm back where I started!0 -
polgara - like me then! I'd lost 3.5stone with SW when I met my OH - and put 5.5 back on. Now I'm on my way down again.
He can still wing it as long as he doesn't use sauces - herbs, spices and things like soy, worcester sauce etc are fine and he'll have to use frylight (or other spray under 2% fat) instead of olive oil.0 -
Think I have worked out the basics but if I am on EE how do I know syns value if online it only mentions original or green value?
Also is Special K cereal ok or should I have a diff cereal?0 -
you take the lower syn value debjay. You can have Special K sustain - but only that one - not the red berry or the normal.0
-
Its sustain that I have and I know to take the milk from my daily 350ml skimmed allowance. I think I have found out this is 4.5 syns. Is it better to have a diff cereal as my HEB tho?0
-
No one cereal is better than any other - they're all HEx's because of their fibre content. there are a few cereals you can have more than 28g of, but that's personal choice.
personally I couldn't waste a HEb & HEa on cereal so haven't eaten it since I started SW 6 years ago!0 -
Just thought it would be an easy breakfast when I am working but take your point. May have to be more inventive with brekkies0
