Hi budding blonde & 1ubthrifty :hello: - fruit & barley isn't free (unless it's no added sugar now
) - the Robinsons 'R' no added sugar is definately free as is most own brand no added sugar squashes (though check syns first as some aren't!)
Don't have any supermarket specific advice I'm afraid, but my main tip is to write everything down BEFORE it goes in your mouth and check & double check syn values! if you don't have access to the online up-to-date info then ask on here - there's usually someone around!
Can anyone help me with the yoghurt changes for 2010 please? I want to go & buy some mullers/lasting satisfaction but am thinking there are no free fruit yoghurts anymore???0 -
what do you mean, no free fruit yogurts?!
What about my Activia FF yogurts?!
Blimey, is the SW way of eating going to completly change?
The kids are off on Mon so won't be able to stay to class.

It's just what I've heard - mullers are to be 0.5syns each so I wondered if any of the others are changing
Can't stock up until I know!
Polenta was supposed to be synned too now, but its still free on the website!0 -
Oh, I thought that fruit mullers were free and activia ff too! Hope someone can clarify for us? Looking forwards to a slimmer me.
I wonder why they would do that when people have been losing weight whilst eating them for free? Ah well.0 -
They were & have been for years 1ubthrifty but there are changes afoot for 2010!0

I would be grateful if you could keep me posted on any changes because I,m not going to group at the mo, too broke, but am keen to lose the pounds!
Many thanks.0 -

Hi
I'm thinking of joining slimming world. I dieted last year without going to classes but following the slimming world plan and went from 16st 12lb to 15st, i'm now at 17st 6lb!!!! I need to lose weight desperately not only for myself but i won a raffle prize last year to go gliding but i have to be under 16 stone! I think i need to go to the classes this time though as last year we did it as a sponsored slim but have no motivation this year, need to work the finances out tho as every week i have little money left after paying bills etc.A home is not a home ..... without a dog0 -
It appears that all fat-free fruit yoghurts will now be ½ syn each, and only fat-free natural yoghurt will be syn-free.
I think this is partly because the Extra Easy plan is so generous in itself, but probably also because there are people out there (you know who you are, lol) who would happily have 3 or 4 Mullerlights a day - though I think the price-hike may put paid to those days anyway.
It's been said many times, but if you've been losing weight successfully following the plan as it was, then the chances are that you would continue to lose following the old ways. BUT, for anyone whose losses haven't been what they might have wished, then it makes sense to embrace the new ways. SW pay out a lot for nutritionists to work these plans out for us to use, it's sensible to accept that they know what's best for us, as slimmers who also want to stay healthy.
The new Food Optimising book (with revised listings) should be available for existing members to buy at £3 each if you want them. There aren't that many changes, so if you don't want to buy the book, I'm sure you could look through someone elses and note down anything for future use.
Right Ladies (and Gents)......New Year, New You!! Time to get rid of any left-over choccies, biccies, cake etc (stick them in the freezer if you can't bear to bin them). Read your FO book (again) from cover to cover and promise yourself that your attitude to weight loss will change.
1) No more sulking if you don't lose 3+ lbs every single week! Losing weight too fast can cause your metabolism to alter, causing problems which can last for years and make weight loss harder than ever.
2) No more feeling a failure if you pig-out during week 2 (or even week 1)!
You're human and therefore prone to make mistakes. Let that one bad day fade into the background - forget it and move on.
3) Remember a 1lb loss each and every week equates to 4 stone in a year! Some weeks you may lose nothing, but the human body is complicated and sometimes, although there's no reason that you can see, your body may retain fluid. Keep plugging away, and the following week, you'll see the reward for your efforts.
It's been said that 'nothing tastes as good as being slim feels' and although it sounds a bit cheesy, it really is true. You, and only you, are in control of what you put in your mouth. The choices are yours to make. If you make a poor choice sometimes, well so be it - tomorrow, perhaps you'll choose more wisely. Rome wasn't built in a day, your weight didn't go on overnight. It will take time to lose it, but if you follow the plans 100%, lose it you will and you'll stay healthy all the way through :AI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Consultant, thank you so much - I just read your post out to my husband and kids. We're on day one today, but going it alone with the help of my SW books due to financial restraints. We CAN do thisIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:
