Hi Miemie
The village you live in sounds just like the one I live in and unfortunately it seems to be getting worse here  I try not to get sucked into all the competition but like you say when the children are friends it is hard. I just try and remember that my children are happy and contented and that is what really matters.
Hope the Body Shop party is bearable, i'm sure your friend appreciated the support.Credit Card Debt

Hello all
Well got through last night, not too bad, hid in the corner and did'nt say much just smiled and nodded through various competitive conversations:rolleyes:, you know the ones i mean, managed to only spend £12 so was pleased with that.
:DToday has been a good day, took the children to see ice age 3 which was very funny and really enjoyed it and we had a treat of Mcdonalds for lunch, then went to see my sister, she had bought dd and ds some halloween craft bits so my 2 are now happy cutting and sticking, we also bought 2 pumpkins from aldi ready for saturday.
I have done a couple of surveys 1 for points and the other was for £4 all adds up, scratchies done 10p and 10p and recieved a parcel today with a free product to test.
Gonna put jkt spuds on and having left over beef casserole with them as there was loads left yesterday and will also eat left over trifle.
Need to pack kiddies bags as they are staying at there Grandma tomorrow night.0 -

I agree with what everyone else has said - you sound like a really fabulous mum (I'm 28 and reading this I really want to go and make a den out of boxes!), so ignore those other people.
Life is too short to spend time with people who make you feel bad about yourself. Focus your time on your family and those friends who support your values and make you smile.

Thanks guys loving the support i'm getting here:D.
I know really good not getting much from Bodyshop party, but i just kept thinking i'm sure there on quidco i could be getting a % so just could'nt part with cash, spent too long on this site me thinks.
Not sure what to do tommorrow, well i am;), but don't know whether to treat hubby to a meal out or get a take away, i'm pulling towards the take away as we have quite a bit of booze in from a family party we had last week and family members came with beer and wine since i was cooking:D.0 -
sounds perfect ...that way you can just chill relax and dont have to get all dolled up ...and save some pennies also0

Good morning,
Its very quiet in the miemie household dd and ds went off with grandma at 9 this morning, i've gone round the house like a looney and its now lovely and tidy, need to do some ironing but thought i'd have half an hour sit before i tackle that.
On the money front 10p and 25p from scratchies, its also pay day, have a few bills i need to pay online and might do a food order for next week, have an inbox full of surveys to tackle but can't get motivated.
Decided on takeaway for tea, can't be bothered going out, just feel like vegging on sofa, will dig out bodies box set and go and drool over max beesley.

Morning.
Had lovely evening, had yummy chinese takeaway and vegged out watching bodies.
Have done scratchies 10p and 10p and a load of surveys most of which i was screened out of:mad:, find that really annoying set half way through then told sorry we don't like you, but did get through one and i'm being sent a laundry product to test:D.
Todays plans are to send hubby to buy treats for trick and treaters, i've paid tesco CC £43 thats min payment at 0% need to pay more off really, but being careful with christmas coming up, find face paints for kids as we are going to a halloween party tonight so kiddies are dressing up.
Hope everyone has a good day.0 -
Hi Miemie
these kinda people are not worth getting involved with and you can relish the fact that you are a great mum that gives your kids 100%, I too live in a similar area with similar people and I tend to keep my distance as I feel they are very shallow people.....they tend to drop their kids off at the childminders next door to me in their big flash cars at the crack of dawn and pick them up around 6pm and I can hear them moaning or shouting at them as they drop them off, or pick them up, this makes my heart sink as they have not seen their children all day. I think you have got a good life balance and give your kids 100%.....keep up with the new diary and dont forget when your kids grow older they will remember all what you did for them and the happy times they had with their mum:rotfl:
