I've spent more than originally planned this week, but Approved Foods had lots of things that I use regularly - olive oil, cider vinegar, mung beans, tinned spinach etc plus a few wheat free treats. The order including delivery came to £16.90.
I also did my usual weekly shop last night and bought veg plus bits to make my muesli which came to £7.95. No veg whoopsies this week except a bag of watercress for 15p, so my spend was higher than I'd hoped.
So, only £23.24 to last me until December budget becomes available from 3rd December. Can I do it? Watch this space ...
Rosieben hope the move goes well tomorrow.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅0 -
The last 4 days have given me 2 NSDs and 2 non-NSDs.
NSDs were 2nd and today.
3rd - Mr M
2x pizza (paid more than I normally would - £4.99 each, on offer at £2.49, whoopsied in early morning reductions to £1.99 - as an "I've got a job" celebration)
a pack of 6 finger rolls (for DS to have Hot Dogs - something he's hinted he's not had for a while) reduced from 47p to 35p. These are on offer at 3 packs for £1, but no freezer space and unlikely to use another dozen this side of 2010!!
4th - A!di

Spent £5.97 on 8 pts milk, bread and butter and a couple of lollies for kids

..snip .. I'm planning to buy a mini freezer to stock up and then sell it on when we get one again (if ever!)
..snip..!
very nearly NSD for me (in fact free lunch at work), but had to go out and get some cheese for the fish pie and that turned into a little mini stock up till SaturdayI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long

Aaargh spent loads yesterday as was having a friend over for dinner so there were things we "had" to have. But at least I did think carefully about it rather than just chucking stuff in the basket. I did chicken so we would be able to have another meal with the leftovers.
The tesco shop includes £3.75 on sensodyne toothpaste as dentist has just rec I get this. Will have to make that last!
M&S £15.03
Tesco £14.480 -
2 NSD's now as I stocked up on bread & milk on Wednesday and froze the excess. They are my worst things to nip to the local shop to get and I always end up buying lots more
I'm hoping to not have to buy anything else until Sunday when I shall nip into Netto as they have 4 pints of milk on offer for £1. Plus I shall need cat food from a local cheapy freezer shop that have Iams in at a really good price - £1.99 for 1.5kg when I used to pay £14 for 3kg from Tesco :eek: Some of our cats are oldies and getting skinny with age so its a good thing I've found it so cheap!
Hope everyone is getting on ok. There seems to be lots of NSD's around at the moment :T0 -
Hiya Folkes!
Had to go to Mr A yesterday, as its the closest to me, I needed some bits so bought a large pack of washing powder and stocked up on cooked meats and butter, couple of loaves, barmcakes, salad, sausage rolls (which are only 50p atm) potatoes with garlic and thyme (only 50p, so got a few packs) big box of walkers crisps, big box of kellogs crunchy nut cornflakes (expensive but DD won't eat cheaper brand) and a very large carton of milk, a dozen free range eggs, Anyway, it came to £37.23, so I have updated my signature.
I also picked up the Asda free magazine and there are some good recipes in there this month, so its worth picking one up if you are there.
Have a good day everyone.grocery challenge Sept 2012 £21/£3990 -
Morning All
£7.99 spent on groceries/toiletries since Monday. DH treated me to a chinese take away on Monday to celebrate not being made redundant :T and then I was away with work for the next 2 days. DH also had the tea on when I got in late on Wed, using up stuff out of the freezer and the last few spuds. He makes the best mash!:T
We were a bit naughty last night and nipped to Mr S for some milk and bought 2 half price LLoyd Grossman pizzas for a quick meal before going to the fireworks. Pizzas were not nice and I won't be having them again half price or not.
I still have a lot of the stuff I got last Sunday to batch cook with that needs to be sorted this weekend or will go to waste. That is tomorrow's plan of action!
Need to sort something for a late tea tonight as we have to go to get the guests Christmas presents straight after work as it will save posting them abroad in December.
Apart from the stuff for the meal on Sunday I do not think we need to get anything else until next weekend. Which is good as I have already spent too much!
Off to update the sig and catch up with the store cupboard challenge!

I did my NSD yesterday... I'm quite impressed with myself!
It's not going to be a NSD today - I'm meeting my cousin for lunch, but we're only having coffee... so that's better than a full meal, right?millienjacksmummy wrote: »Tonight its hard as I want a treat and no biscuits in (but I have a dark choc magnum in the freezer if I am desparate - noone knows about it!!)

Did you manage without it? Or was you a bit sneaky last night?!Trying hard to money save....0 -
Just had my first shop with Tescos for November, £92.75 which included the delivery charge
. I'm happy with that because I know that at least six dinners/lunches/breakfasts taken care of rather than my usual haphazard way of shopping! My PO (which I go to everyday, so no special journey) has 4pts milk for £1, great because as well as being lots cheaper than the supermarkets (even with the multibuys) its from a local dairy :T We get through a *lot* of milk in this house!
