Can I please join the GC ? I've been overspending like mad and realised that a lot of my overspending is on food.
My target for November is £129. There's only me to feed, and I know that sounds like a lot to some of you, but I just added up my credit card spending for last month on food and it came to well over £250. And I've also spent on my debit card and cash too....
I'm going to keep a notebook this month of every single penny that I spend (not just food) so that I can do an in depth analysis at the end of the month to see where my money's going. I'm also rounding up all my till receipts today from last month so I can see what I'm buying at the supermarket to see where I can save.
Oh and I know that £129 is a bit odd as a targetbut basically I've worked out my budget this month and that's all that will be left for food. So if I overspend on it, it's just adding to my debt.

Afternoon everyone, just logged in to catch up in thread and update on spends/signature.
Spent £36.53 over last few days in MR T.
For anyone that shops at MR T, They are doing a promotion on Baileys, spend £30 in store and get 1 litre bottle half price ( should be £18 but for £9 with offer). Not sure how long offer is on for as I only went in for a few things.
EDITED, just looked at MR T website, Offer is valid from 02/11/09 to 08/11/09 and is also available for ONLINE orders

I prefer to split the loaf up into portions before freezing though - that way I just pull out the number of slices I need. If I freeze a loaf complete I sometimes find it hard to split the slices without defrosting the entire load first!!Cheryl0 -
Right 1st month and only counting food so put me down for £60. That's for me. Asda online was £43 and I don't need much else this month. Also Mum has given me £10 M and S vouchers which I'm going to use to buy dinner for me and a friend on Sat but that's free to me so not going to count it.'The road to a friends house is never long'0
