Are you pleased with your Rotaire, VJsmum? Does it really work as well as the website says? My weekly washing routine of club sports kit is going to increase over this year and I need to find a workable solution before the winter weather sets in.

Yes I am really pleased with it. I can hang stuff out without worrying about the weather. If it rains really hard and there is stuff on the very outside then it will get wet but I can deal with that. Yesterday when i knew it was going to rain i hung it all well inside with just a few socks and undies on the outside.

I can hang stuff out at 9.00 at night and bring it in at 9.00 in the morning - mostly dry. I do make use of about 5 racks in the airing cupboard to finish stuff off and the conservatory gets hot too so i use that . I have only used the tumble once since easter (and i don't think i needed to then, it's just that i had a lot of post holiday washing). I haven't used it through the winter tho.

Happy Birthday Frith! Have a lovely day.

    My Friday pleasures:

1 - Nice lazy morning in bed with DH after our late night.

2 - Went into work and got up with goings on as I'm back on Monday.

3 - Spent a LONG time on the phone to my sister and mam again. Miss them sometimes but we do talk ALL the time.

4 - Was on my own for tea so just took some spag bol out the freezer from my last batch cooking spell.

5 - I love flowers but instead of buying an expensive bunch I bought a cheap plant in a bright cheery yellow and have put it in a kids pink bucket I had kicking around. It's now brightening up my kitchen.

Hugs to all who need them. I have fallen in love with this thread. It's so friendly and really makes you appreciate things. Apologies hat mine aren't always 100% OS.

    1.Lie in......never woke until 9am....yikes!

    Evening all.

Happy birthday Frith! smiley-greet006.gif I'd forgotten our birthdays are so close together - mine's tomorrow.

I'm pleased to say I'm feeling a bit better today, but I'm very glad I warned the plant stall owner that I wouldn't be able to volunteer today - I know she was very disappointed but I think being on the seafront all day wouldn't have done me any good at all.

    My pleasures for today:

    1) Another nice lie-in, although I didn't sleep nearly as late as I did yesterday.

    2) My sister sent me a text to say that, as a birthday present, she's sponsored two entrants for me in the plastic duck race in her local river tomorrow. GO DUCKS GO! :rotfl:

    3) Made a very OS cake which used up various odds and ends, and it tastes delicious.

    4) Harvested my HG potatoes and I've got enough for a few meals.

    5) Found a 'takeaway' curry RTC in the supermarket so I bought that rather than buying a proper takeaway as I'd intended - it'll be much cheaper, will save me having to walk up to the shops to collect my meal, and, being from Waitrose, will probably be extremely tasty. :)

    Have a lovely evening, all.
Back after a very long break!

Happy Birthday, Frith!! Hope you've had a lovely day and that it gets better and better :)

Here's some pleasures for me today:

    1. Getting my kitchen scrubbed and sparkling. The cupboard fronts are all done, the surfaces too and the floor scrubbed to look a lot cleaner.
    2. Steak baguettes with fajita mushrooms for tea. I think that this is my favourite meal. Ever.
    3. Talking to my sister on the phone this morning - it was good to connect a bit more with her. :)
    4. A bath! I'd left off washing my hair for a whole 2 days and felt really rank because of it. Oh boy, it was lovely to get clean hair!
    5. Getting my shopping list and mealplan done for the week ahead, then planning to get one full shop in and not visit the supermarket again!

Hope everyone has a lovely evening. Take care

    Saturday's pleasures:-

    1. Free card crafting demo with free coffee and choccies.

    2. 20% off craft purchases.

    3. Meeting DD and family for a walk and a picnic and taking our own icecreams in a cool bag and saving money.

    4. Wine with picnic as it is DD's wedding anniversary.

    5. Picking bilberries.

    1. Lovely long lie in bath this morning, with no-one to interrupt
    2. Lovely, lovely shopping trip with DD and lunch. Much attention on DS of late so wanted to show her she was special too. Not terribly MSE although there were one or two bargains like half price Fat Face jeans (fave brand)
    3. DD's lovely friends coming over for sleepover tonight. Proves not all teenagers are nasty, smelly, selfish @&%*&£'s
    4. Elbow at Glastonbury
    5. Coldplay at Glastonbury
