    Wednesday

    1. An early start
2.Post - my tickets for next weeks Europa League game (sadly cannot afford to go see my beloved Fulham in the Faroe Islands) turned up along with Dexter and Sopranos dvds from Lovefilm
    3. Brand new book from Charity shop Jenny Colgans Cupcake Cafe - dont usually buy them from this shop as they charge 2 quid but it was brand new in excellent condition and I know will be able to give it to another one after reading also in the same condition. Plus I almost bought this in tesco a while back.
    4. Poundland bargains - replacement flipflops for ones that just died and cheap dried cranberries Ocean Spray - I think these are about 2.75 if not more normally
    5. book in the post from Ebay for my flatmates birthday- its one of his all time fave(he tends to reread the same books over and over) and he told me recently he had lost his copy years ago.it's brand new and wa sonly 60p plus pnp which was free anyway as I have a hefty paypal balance from surveys.
    6. Cadbury Flake mug from charity shop.(flatmate says we need to start replacing mugs- one of my faves has had a crack in for a long time and I accidentally chipped one of his)
    7. free Thortons chocs from voucher in Daily Mail (which we buy anyway)
    8. Free 48 hr access to one Stanley Kubrick film on Lovefilm from SFD.. Only one I havent seen was eyes Wide Shut.
    What Would Bill Buchanan Do?

Villagelife hope you are feeling OK now.

    My pleasures today:-

    1. House cleaning all done with help from lovely DH.

    2. Finding the bottom of the ironing basket. I've had a throw lurking in there that looked like crumpled cardboard. I was putting off tackling it, but now it's done.

    3. Lovely DH bought me a storage tower from Hobbycraft for all my card making stuff. It's for my birthday which is not for 2 months but he got it now as it was on offer.

    4. Having fun starting to organize all my craft stuff.

    5. Showers keeping the garden fresh and happy.

    Bella.

    Evening all.

My pootah has been cleared of its bout of flu, so I'm back! My pleasures for today:

    1) My computer is up and running and virus-free again. :j (The man who did the repair turned out to be someone I used to work with - we really should have recognised each other's names, but didn't and had an 'oh, hello!' moment when he knocked on my door. :rotfl:)

    2) Came home early from work as I was feeling lousy and had a pleasant mid-afternoon doze curled up on the bed with the mog.

    3) Received a £10 voucher from doing surveys which I'd forgotten I'd ordered.

    4) I didn't feel up to cooking tonight but have a selection of HM meals in the freezer so I could still have something decent for dinner.

    5) The computer repair man also upgraded my computer's memory while he was doing the repairs: it's unbelievable how much faster it goes now!

    Have a pleasant evening all.

villagelife - hugs to you and I hope you recover soon from that nasty experience.
Back after a very long break!

Villagelife - sorry to hear about your nasty accident and I hope you recover quickly.

5 for today (again, excuse the dodgy space bar!)

    1) MrN brought a cup of tea round to wake me up.

    2) Home/school lady came and I was able to tell her smaller son has slept through for 6 nights in a row!

    3) Went to yoga. Very strenuous today and my shoulder hurts now.

    4) Went to feed brother's pigs.

    5) Had lunch at mum and dad's.

    6) Went to the local high school to watch 5 primary school's plays. My son was ace. :-) He loves acting and was in a video as an Open University professor. :-D

    7) Fish and chips for tea.

    8) A kind friend realising I am doing nothing on my birthday and she is organising something for me and the boys. I could actually burst into tears with gratitude.

Now, a precis of the bad news... No headway with MrN. No mention made of any of the problems that I brought to his attention. We've gone from being in his and his sons' company most days (e.g going swimming/having meals together) to being absolutely ignored and left out for 4 weeks. I don't think he has given a thought to the fact that he is the nearest my sons have to a father figure and he is basically abandoning them. I don't know what I (or we) have done wrong. :-( It is his son 3's birthday today (14) and we have not been invited round, not even to see the cake or for a few minutes. We have his present here. :-(

His son5 (should say allegedly here) has written "poo" on my house with marker pen (this a week or so ago). Then "someone" has gone to the village hall (just over the way) and written "UR gay" and then my son's initials and got on the flat roof bit over the hall kitchen and written across the white painted gable end "sons name... is a big hairy s.l.u.t"

2 more incidents, just to try and explain how I feel. :-( In one of the few conversations we have had in June, he told me he is getting rid of his double bed and getting a single. Well, that made me feel like a million dollars! And I said tomorrow I will be out all day seeing a friend and he said (and I quote) "Oh - I'll work at home that day, then".

    Nothing more to say, really.

    1. OH has been a sweetie and is planning all kinds of fun to make sure I become and stay cheered up this weekend; DD is going to have a whale of a time too :)
    2. A friend was nice to me at work, he'd seen that I'd been upset and stressed for a little while and told me how great everyone thinks I am, and some silly jokes :)
    3. Bought some YS tinned tomatoes and paid using LV - MUST leave my purse at home from now on this month.....
    4. Got home to more LV delivered from doing a survey the other day, yay :)
    5. Saw my friendly physio who has made me very sore with some new exercises but I'm happy that she's pleased with me and is going to write a letter to my consultant to tell him what she thinks would be a good idea (i.e. small op rather than going for the big one). Apparently I must be an interesting case as I told her when I'm seeing him, and she confirmed that he alone does that particular day. I guess I'm impressed that it looks that much of a mess inside my body, lol.
    6. Only 12 hours til I see OH :):):)

Right, I must go and put an icepack on my leg to try and stop it from making me want to take an axe to it, have a lovely evening everyone x

    Evening

    Pleasures for today:
    1. Thanks to MSE got another small present to put away for DD. Grazia magazine for £1 in WHS and then next door to Debenhams for the benefit free gift. Also have the benefit freebies from another magazine to go with it :money:
    2. Dinner cooked quickly and eaten by all before DD had to go to guides, this is always a challenge on a Thursday
    3. Used my usual Thursday evening walk to get a few errands done as well. Dropped some bits off for FIL and my lovely SIL gave me some ground passes for Wimbledon this Saturday :j
    4. On way back to pick DD up from guides popped into Mr.S and Mr.T and managed to get some YS goodies.
    5. Knowing that there are still some nice people out there who are willing to help someone. My mum fell off her mobility scooter (only she could manage this) and two vans of men stopped and picked her and the scooter up and wanted to take her home. Thankfully she is just bruised but they were so nice to her. She is able to laugh about it now and is relieved she was wearing trousers so didn't flash her knickers at anyone:eek:.

Hugs to all who need them
