5 OS Pleasures in your Day Today part 2

Evening.
My five pleasures for Thursday:
1. Getting masses of club sports kit washed and more or less dried. The fabulous late afternoon sunshine and good breeze rescued the day. Looks like we have more sunshine tomorrow morning so I'd better finish it off early before the rain arrives.
2. Moving the contents of all my herbs and spices into matching small jam jars. The smell and the colours were fantastic. I'm slowly ridding my store cupboards of manufacturers labels - everything is going into jars or, in a few instances, cereal pouring boxes or plain tins. The cupboards are looking more and more beautiful the plainer they get.
3. Realising that, despite two years of neglect, we do still have quite a few herbs growing in our garden so I'm going to do some harvesting and drying and fill up a few more jars.
4. Listening to DS2's laughter when he asked me what was for supper and I said 'tuna surprise'. (Given that it was just a few helpings of left over HM tuna pasta sauce that I'd frozen, topped with mash and cheese then baked, it actually worked out quite well.)
5. Listening to a really enjoyable reading on iplayer R4extra while I was getting on with other things.
Sweet dreams

Had a bit of a lousy day yesterday in one way or another so this might be a struggle.
1 - Watching the awesome Date-Krumm v Williams tennis match.
2 - My £2 boot sale dinner set washed up a treat.
3 - Nice relaxing bath with candles to try and end the day off a bit better.
3 will have to do for yesterday. Today is a new day though so I'm sure it'll be better.0 -
Wednesday
1. Son liked the new school, he's going for a day next week which will be the real test.
2. Not very MSE but took him to Maccy D's for an egg mcmuffin after so that he could take it all in (was going to say "digest" but not with an egg mcmuffin:rotfl:). It's nice to spend time with him and just talk. (forgot to take coffee sticker off the carton tho for my freebie)
3. Went to DDs sports award ceremony - first she's ever been to (not very sporty). THey had a very entertaining speaker.
4. Egg on toast for tea cos in hurry, so cheap if not exactly nutritious
5. Put in £100 expenses for work that i keep forgetting about and had some time off in lieu approved.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Not posted for a while as had a car accident last week and turned the car over. Am feeling ok now but was very bruised and shocked and I still seem to ache and am feeling very tired all the time. Not felt as if I had anything to post though untill now.
1. Being alright it could have been much worse.
2. Making elderflower cordial and managing to find enough as the elderflowers are almost over.
3. Receiving £5 gift voucher today.0 -

Oh dear villagelife, that's awful. Hope you feel bad to your normal self soon. Hugs.0

Dear villagelife, that's a horrible thing to happen to you, I do empathise and hope you're recovering now. We (my friend, my DM and I) were also in an rta last week in Rhodes. I understand how long it can take to recover from the shock of it, the tiredness is part of that (DM slept for 48 hours after our 'incident') and took me a good week to stop seeing the horror of it. We can only thank our God, higher power, guardian angel or whoever, for watching over us all, and keeping us safe. Take care of yourself, I'm just so grateful you're still here with us to tell the tale :A x0

5 for yesterday
1. nsd
2. postie brought me some free adhesive labels, useful to re-address DS's post
3. Lost 1lb+, now under 11st for the first time in eons
4. Got a reasonable quote for cleaning the carpets so they'll be done tomorrow
5. Got a very reasonable quote for installing an outside tap. Seems tradesmens prices are coming down, no-one can afford them and they're desparate for work. Pleased I'm able to give them some, albeit small, jobs to do
Have a good, and safe, day

Villagelife - hugs, so sorry to hear about your car accident, hope you'll feel yourself soon, take it easy xx
Frith and Giddynici - hugs to you both, hope today is happier xx
I'm feeling slightly more human today after realising that OH is a very kind, caring, patient man and part of me wonders why on earth he puts up with me, as I'm failing to see many good points to me, lol. Anyway, seeing him tomorrow and he's just planned out a fantastic weekend with me and DD, and I just can't wait0
