Weird Monday, but one day closer to the weekend:)

    5 for today
    1. Started new module at Uni, nice group of people from lots of different backgrounds.
    2. Free tea for whole family at the high school my DS will go to in Sept.
    3. Checked up on finances, and although never a pleasure has made me more determined to face up to things. I don't want to spend my whole working life paying off debt. Time to grow up and take more control.
    4. Big Hugs from DD at bedtime, always lovely.
    5. Lovely walk with dog in evening sunshine.

Well done on doing/ planning to do the Moonwalk and Sunwalk. Did the Manchester Shine last year so know how hard it can feel. Lovely to think that going for a walk (even if it is a very long one) can make such a difference to people.:A

    Evening all

It's been a very trying day....seems like everything I've tried to do has fallen apart  It didn't help matters that the cars going to have to go back to the garage as they didn't fix it properly. Do they really think I'm stupid? Even I know that a diagnostic machine can't detect everything and I can tell when they've sprayed liberally with WD40 :mad: I will not be fobbed off and if necessary I'll give them a lesson in the sale of goods act 1979! Never mind I shall perservere and hopefully tomorrow will be a better day

    1) Some new tops delivered....two out of the four fit nicely...two will be going back to the shop on Saturday
    2) Chats with old friends on FB
    3) Leftover home made stew for dinner....so an easy cook night :D
    4) NSD
    5) Nice relaxing bath

Hopefully you all had a good day

    Evening

Carolyntia - Go get 'em girl, if I was your mechanic I would be afraid ;)

    Pleasures for today,
    1. Everyone left the house with a packed lunch today and breakfast, start the week as mean to go on.
    2. Managed to get some inspiration for Father's day for my dad and didn't break the bank. Plus used a code to order free personalized cards :money:
    3. All of us in the garden for an hour clearing some more of the jungle, its getting there.
    4. Easy tasty dinner of sausage and pasta soup
    5. Sorting out some finances. Lady in the bank was trying to sell me different savings accounts but I'm on a higher interest rate than she could offer.

Hugs to all who need them

    1. Completed a second stage interview at a potential job today :) [working and earning a wage has to be counted as MSE and OS, surely :P ]
    2. Felt satisfaction at knowing that the mr ate a sandwich prepared by me today [and that there are currently 7 more in the freezer!]
    3. Made us dinner from on-offer turkey with whoopsied piri piri marinade, a frugal sweetcorn pudding and spicy rice [which went down well]
    4. Managing to not buy anything while through in town for said interview.
    5. Receiving my water saving kit from northumbrian water :) Not sure how much of it we can use quite yet, but even the bits we might not have a use for here we may well do at our next place! :)
    On the up :D

    5 for today (Monday).

    1) Took my mum to Hereford to look round the shops. Didn't see anything in the 2nd hand shops although they are usually really good ones.

    2) Sons very jolly.

    3) Did a roast dinner.

    4) Went swimming with sons and my brother.

    5) Sitting here now with the heater on, hot water bottle and about to listen to the radio on iplayer.

Bad news is that I managed to wrench my leg whilst having a water pistol fight with the boys so I now have a silly walk!

    Evening all,

    My five for Monday:

    1. I got the delivery of some beautiful fabric I'd ordered. Everything was wrapped up in layers of tissue paper and the 'fat quarters' bundle was tied with very pretty ribbon too. It was fun to unwrap and absolutely everything - even the box it arrived in - is going to be used for something.

    2. This inspired me to do another sort out of my fabric stash which now looks very business like.

    3. DS1 kept interrupting me through the day with progress reports of how his essay was going. He'd started out quite fed up but as he chipped away at it it started getting better and better so each time he put his head round the door he was more and more pleased which was lovely.

    4. Have managed to clear the fridge again ready for the veggies tomorrow. Another week of minimal food waste. :j

    5. Really beautiful red streaked sky tonight. Hope it bodes well for tomorrow.

    Night night

Evening everyone - just popped on to add my 5 pleasures for today before bed:

    1. There are some baby Cayenne peppers on my plant! Let's hope that continues to bear fruit.
    2. We had a bit of sunshine.
    3. Saw a little bunny rabbit on the roundabout on the way home.
    4. Had jambalaya for tea.
    5. Watched a good film (Contact with Jodie Foster) with DH on the sofa. It was nice to see a film midweek - really made a nice change.

    Sleep well.
