    Hello

Second post on a MSE forum - a popcorn thread was my first inspiration today, but then decided it was time to come onto this thread. Have followed it for a long time and want to say a big thankyou to all who post on here. Your OS pleasures have given me much needed perspective and inspiration on all the pleasure there is to be had in each day.:A

So here are my first 5 OS pleasures of today...

    1. Having just enough change for the parking meter, meant I didn't need to go to the bank!! Does that count as a NSD?
    2. Finally posted something on MSE Forum, after years of lurking
    3. Lovely day at work, got loads of paperwork sorted
    4. Watched telly with DS on sofa this evening, eating easter eggs we found at the back of the cupboard
    5. Friend brought a cake round, which was delicious

Hope you all have a good weekend
  • Just one - giving the child soft boiled eggs and bread soldiers for tea and knowing that she thinks it is a complete result! (She's 12 and I was surprised she likes something so cheap and simple so much)
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Pretty difficult day. All sons have been revolting :-S which has made life very awkward.

    Anyway, here are 5:

    1) Dropping off meals for the mother of baby Ben.

    2) Went shopping and actually bought something! I find it difficult to muster any interest in clothes (obviously, I WEAR some, but you know what I mean!) but I bought 2 tops.

    3) Met my friend whilst out shopping.

    4) Smaller son enjoyed his sports day very much.

    5) Fish and chips for tea.

    6) MrN came round despite all the son shenanigans - he must be completely exhausted.

Hi all, stepsons have been constantly lying to us and frequently treating us like dirt (encourage by their "mother") so not a great day.

    So let's have a think.....

    1. Needed to get change for parking so bought asparagus - much more healthy than chocolate!!
    2. Asparagus bacon and eggs for lunch.
    3. Finding new buds on my lavendar plants - only just planted them and they were looking decidedly sorry for themselves!
    4. Stretching mince to last longer - it's in the slowcooker now with lots of lentils :D
    5. Not needing to go shopping. So a relaxing afternoon at home.
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?

Just the one today but visiting this thread is always a good thing as it reminds me to count my blessings

    1. I bought an icecream Feast to treat myself. havent had one in a long time but have had the weekend from heck already - I dont think I am really over my Grandads death about a month or so ago, we have had no tv since Tuesday and the councils contractors show no signs of fixing the communal aeriel as they could not be a"r"ed to come out Thursday OR Friday( i guess they see over 80 households including housebound ppl without a tv as not a priority), my first boyfriend was doing a gig for his 50th Birthday last night and I could not even afford the entrance fee or tube fare to go (never mind the costly drinks as it was in a City wine bar) and just when I was about to say hang the expense due to extreme boredom etc I got a call to say one of my friends who had cancer had suddenly and unexpectedly died at 4pm yesterday.

Hope all you lovely folk are having a decent weekend and I am sure I will be back soon enough with my lists again. (sorry to bring you folks down, as I dont have friends etc to support me I need to get it out on paper as it were)xxx

Not had too many pleasures over the last few days, but here goes with some of today's:

    1. Getting a renewed sense of OSiness (again). It seems to ebb and flow, and ebb and flow, but I'm getting there.
    2. Spent a bit of time in the garden - planted some more lettuce seeds and some Nigella seeds too.
    3. Have made a make up kit that will fit into my bike leathers. It's a manicure case about the size of a smart phone with the manicure tools removed. Inside is a stubby end of an eyeliner, a perfume sample, a small pot of cold cream (to take off makeup and moisturise in one), cotton wool pads, a sample lippy, a trial size mascara, a foundation sample sachet and a concealer pencil. I'm hoping to get another tiny tiny pot to put in some eyeshadow to complete the set. We'll see! I'm bizarrely proud of it.
    4. Have wilted some spinach and frozen it for another day. I'm really feeding my inner squirrel!
    5. It's the weekend.

(((hugs))) to those that need them. Take care, all.
