    Today's pleasures:

    1. DH was going to buy some new waterproofs, but I found his old ones and saved him £45!
    2. Made some lovely breakfast bars.
    3. Feeling so good on drinking plenty of water.
    4. A nice hot bath.
    5. A treat of sausage and chips from the chippy. We both needed a bit of a pick me up.

Have a nice evening, all. Night!

Swit-swoo Ladyhawk, even if it was just a one-off, kisses are always lovely :)

I've missed a couple of days as I've been a bit stressed work and more importantly, the visit to DD from the ex husband which happened today. I am feeling angry beyond belief with my the twonk who has strolled back into DD's life after a year's absence with no apology or explanation and walked away from me when I calmly and politely stated that I didn't want her spending weekends with him (not that we actually have any weekends free until the middle of August at the earliest!) until she has got to know him again. In my eyes, spending 3 hours with her a year does not a father make.............aaaaaargh :(:(

    Anyway.......pleasures...........errm.........let me think:

    1. The man was civil to me on arrival (shame he walked away whilst I was mid-sentence later on but ho-hum......)
    2. Whilst he was in my house with DD, I went out and had a lovely cuddle with my friend's gorgeous baby and a great chat to the mum and dad :)
    3. I also spent far too much money in A$da and bought DD the most gorgeous dress, I couldn't resist, she will LOVE it and it was "only" £8. I've got it a bit big so hopefully she'll keep wear it baggy now and grow into it!
    4. Spoke to a lovely girlfriend on the phone who also has a winker ex and she helped me put the world to rights a bit.....
    5. Spoke to OH who was scrumptious and lovely and doing his manly best to reassure me that not all men are nasty, not entirely convinced at the moment though, lol, he'll have to convince me tomorrow ;):)
    6. Looking forward to working from home tomorrow if I can....
    7. Enjoying a glass of wine to drown my sorrows, nice wine that I got YS, so perking me up a bit I guess!
    8. Knowing that tomorrow will be a better day than today
    9. DD and I tidied up a bit in anticipation of her father's visit, so the house feels bit nicer tonight!

    5 for today (Weds already!)

    1) Both boys happy all day, even went to school grinning and waving. :-D

    2) Had a good clean of the kitchen - pulled the oven out, washed the bin out etc.

    3) Went to see Dad who had been stung in the eyebrow by a bee (it got tangled in his eyebrow!) He keeps bees so is used to it but now has one massive eye.

    4) Bigger son had a school friend round for tea who is always polite and at least as excitable and talkative as bigger son. We went to mum and dad's to look at the pigs and see how many slow worms we could find.

    5) Sons (and friend) went to karate so I had an hour to myself.

    6) MrN came round and we had quite a good chat. :-)

more good news! The poorly baby is soon to be transferred from the children's hospital to a more local one - another good sign. :-)

Kittikins - just saw your post. Sorry to hear about the ex problems. :-(

Thought I'd join in if I may.

1 - Ridiculously long lie in this morning. Felt a little guilty but desperately needed it.
2 - Had some of the banana loaf I made yesterday and it is delicious (if I do say so myself).
3 - Being there for my sister when she needed a bit of a rant.
4 - DH came in from work and emptied the dishwasher, had a pick up and asked what I needed done.
5 - Went on a walk tonight and discovered some lovely houses up the back of where I live and a little community hall that does events.

Frith, keep the good news about baby Ben coming!

    My five for Wednesday:

    1. Lots of sorting of kitchen cupboards and admiring the results. I'm awfully pleased with how it's going.

    2. Getting the massive wash of club sports kit completed and half-dried. It's not due to rain again here until early afternoon tomorrow so if I get it back on the line early I might just get the drying finished.

    3. Very good HM tomato and veg soup for supper with enough left to do another meal for all of us. I'll freeze it later.

    4. Seeing some great pics of DS2 and his friends.

    5. The link to the impossible quiche recipe - thanks Bella - I'd been looking and couldn't find it. Will definitely give that one a go.

Off to collect DS1 from the coach station in about half an hour. He's been very held up with detours and the driver getting lost so tonight is going to be a very late night for all of us. Ho hum.

    Sweet dreams

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    Afternoon all - I'm back! :)

I'm actually very glad to be home - there were some good bits but, unfortunately, on the whole that was a festival visit I will be very glad to forget all about. I won't bore you with the details but we've all decided we're never going back to that festival, after going regularly for many years, which gives you some idea how bad it was. :(

I haven't had a chance to catch up on everyone's posts yet so I hope everyone's doing OK.

    My pleasures for today:

    1) A long lie-in this morning, back in my own bed. :D

    2) The first flower has appeared on one of my French bean plants.

    3) The blackcurrants on my plant have ripened while I was away and are just right for picking. :) (I must go and pick them in a minute... ;))

    4) The mog has finally gone to sleep after miaowing almost constantly since I got home yesterday evening.

    5) It's stopped raining so I won't get drenched walking down to the pub quiz later. :j

I'll catch up with everyone's posts over the next few days - have a lovely evening, all.
Back after a very long break!

Thanks for the welcome back messages.

    Today's pleasures:-

    1. Homemade bread with homegrown salad and cold boiled bacon for lunch, yum.

    2. An afternoon nap, I needed it.

    3. Bringing the ironing up to date, won't need to think about that again for a day or two.

    4. Baking a lovely scone ring in the Remoska.

    5. Also made a lovely cake in the Remoska. Never done a cake in there before, but it looks pretty good.

    4. Got to work at home today, so petrol will go that bit further!!

    Evening all,

    1) Went to sleep at 8.30 last night so was well rested this morning

    2) Sold a book on Amazzon. I hadn't for a while so was pleased to get the email

    3) Had a healthcheck at work... and I'm healthy! My flexibility was below average but I cold have told them that.

    4) Remembered to collect my prescription from the doc

    5) Great atmosphere in the office - senior management was scarce. I managed to get a lots done so have only got 50 emails to deal with in my inbox, submitted my expenses (no wonder I feel so poor!) and tidied my desk. I feel a lot more in control now.

    Night all
