    4. Having to stretch the food these last few weeks has reminded me how much I have lost my grocery budget focus :o will try harder next month
    5. Um.... tomorrow is Friday!
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?

Certainly not! I know how evil we are!:D He's the logistics manager of the big project I'm working on :o
    Man plans and God laughs...
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

2 - Walked further than I have managed in weeks due to severe back pain.
3 - Discovered we have a Home Bargains here!
4 - Found out my dad will be coming to stay next week. And the lovely fella is taking hubby and I out for dinner.

    Evening

    Pleasures for today:
    1. Free lunch at work today as someone is leaving the company after 22 years:eek:. Will be very sad to see her go but know she is really looking forward to her new life of working part-time and looking after her new granddaughter.
    2. Was lovely to catch up with lots of people over lunch and whilst we girls did the washing up.
    3. My parents were involved in a car crash today which is not a pleasure. The pleasure is they are both ok if a little shaken and the car should be ok after a few repairs.
    4. DD has volunteered to be a young guide leader at a Rainbow unit, am a proud mummy. She is now growing up so fast doesn't seem five minutes since she was a rainbow.
    5. Whilst DD was helping at guides I went for a 8 mile power walk, trying to keep my training up ready for the sunwalk next month.

Hugs to all who need them

Tealady - sorry to hear about your parents' accident but glad they are OK.

    Ladyhawk - how exciting!

    5 for today (Thursday already).

    1) MrN came round this morning with a cup of tea for me. :-)

    2) Went to yoga.

    3) Pretty much up to date on housework.

    4) Took sons into local town for the library and sweetshop. Got some nail varnish. Sons were aghast (!) as I have not used anything like that in many a long year, certainly not since they can remember. Strange how I immediately went back to my Goth roots and bought dark purple without thinking. :-S

    5) Fish and chips for tea.

    That's about it!

Tealady: I'm glad your mum & dad were okay, but they must have got such a fright, as you would too when you heard !
Frith: that made me smile about your nail polish! Sometimes we are not just 'mum!'

Frith - got to love dark purple nail varnish. That's the shade I always go for too - that or deep dark red.

    Here's my pleasures for today:

    1. A beveverage ;) after a long day. I haven't indulged in a while, so it was nice to relax with a small rum and coke.
    2. I can almost do the splits! About an inch to go :D
    3. The cayenne peppers on my plant are really starting to form now and there's at least 7 fruits so far.
    4. Dropping some more items off at the charity shop.
    5. Seeing Mum this morning. I popped around before work and dropped off a copy of Garden News and one of those new Flakes you can buy (the ones wrapped in truffle) Her face was a picture. :)

    Night all.

    Hiya,

    My five for Thursday:

    1. Having a haircut. It's been 103 days since the last one - not that I'm counting :rotfl:

    2. Getting all the washing back out on the line at about 5pm when the wet weather suddenly picked up and became all sunny and blowy. Managed to get all of the clothes bone dry by about 8pm.

    3. Tackling some more of the kitchen cupboards and found SR flour, currants and mixed spice that were all out of date so I and made some very nice Welsh cakes.

    4. Meal planning until next week which was a bit overdue but very easy to get done.

    5. Looking out at the back garden from the kitchen sink and being quite pleased that we haven't mowed the lawn in ages because the clover and buttercups were looking lovely.:D

    Sweet dreams
