Hello Everyone - Ive been having quite a MSE week so all going well - My pleasures for today

    1. Started training course on personality disorder - was brilliant. Online learning and a nice bunch (in Leeds to so no petrol & will claim train fare)
    2. Found out that for a Webinar im doing I dont HAVE to have a microphone headset thing (£12.99) saved! spent instead on a skirt covered in parrots (much nicer/ useful in my opinion)
    3. Went to market after training & got loads of fab fruit, £1 for 3 tubs strawb, £1 for two tubs blueberries ect. yum.
    4. Text from a mate saying we have Morrissey Tickets for July - again not that MSE but seeing Mozza priceless!
    5. Tea from freezer

Oh almost forgot - sneaky additional one. I was inspired by Superscrimpers and did my own spotty polka dot nail art today - took about 20 mins and looks fab, and was free!

    Evening all

    1) Dumping a whole load of paperwork in the works confidential shredder :D
    2) Checking out the works underground carpark....means I won't get wet or need an umbrella
    3) Free pie at work because someone was leaving
    4) Free fruit - going to take me a while to get used to this one :p
    5) NSD
    6) Bloke who mows my lawn came round on time....is going to be able to do the patio in June....he's doing two other neighbours at the same time and will give me a price for the fence too
    7) Getting all the tidying up done tonight;)
    8) Sorting out some old bank statements to go to the works confidential shredder tomorrow.:o

Hope you all had a good day.

Can I do a sneaky additional one, please? I've just seen three little bats swooping around above my garden - I didn't see any last year so it's great to have them back. :j

I'll be back to my allocation of five tomorrow. ;)
Back after a very long break!

    Evening all,

Hopeyour Thursday has treated you well.

    1) My interview went really well, and I think the job is mine if I want it. He didn't say that in so many words but he is worried that I would be bored if I moved. Hmm... it's a tough one. Money is a not really a good reason to move to a job that I will get frustrated in... but it is a substantial amount more than I am on now. I think I am going to chat it over with my boss in a kind of "I want to talk about my future" kind of way...

    2) Had loads of pineapple samples at work... I ate too much and ended up with a sore tongue. But I LURVE pineapple.

    3) A lot of my spare seedlings have now got good homes with my colleagues. I hope that they are inspired to start growing their own.

    4) Got back late from the interview (well after 8.30pm) and am using up the last of my roast lamb from Sunday in a hotpot type thing and to make soup. I am hiding in my bedroom as I still don't trust the pressure cooker!

    5) Gorgeous sunshine this afternoon.

hope you ll have a fabulous evening

    L

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

Glad to hear the interview went well Ladyhawk. I guessing that if another company is offering a lot more money then it's time to discuss your future with your boss.....it depends on how much your company value you and the work you do for them :)

DitaBombita - so envious of the Morrissey tickets, sure you'll have a brilliant time :)

    1. After a really horrible going to bed time with DD last night - I actually went to bed before her in the end as she tired me out when I was feeling sore, tired, and suffering from TOTM..........she crept into my bed in the middle of the night with her teddy and snuggled up to me, so by the morning we were best friends again :)
    2. Worked from home so my leg isn't too sore tonight from being walked on too much
    3. Realised yesterday that I have a private healthcare policy through my employers, it won't cover much, but I've made an appointment to see a GP to get a referral for physio.
    4. Was pigged off with OH for a few hours during the day as I thought he was coming over, but his weekend plans had changed and he felt ill but didn't let me know that there were things going on, so I was a bit worried for him (thankfully not paranoid that he'd suddenly and without cause had gone off me, lol) and he has made it up to me by suggesting he come to us for the weekend and promising to cook for us (hmm, doubt the last bit will happen!).
    5. NSD, yippee!
    6. Popped over for a cup of tea at a friends house and got to cuddle her cute toddler :)
    7. NPD, yippee!
    8. DD and I had lots of lovely cuddles and silliness when she got back from school and she apologised for her behaviour last night without prompting. Yay!! :)

    Evening

Ladyhawk - Glad the interview went well, good luck with whatever you decide on.

    Pleasures for today:
    1. Big pile of ironing done this morning before work
    2. Department management meeting at work today that ends in a lunch for the whole department. Was really nice to sit down together in an informal setting plus a yummy free lunch thrown in. Even better was that I managed to get out of attending the meeting as well.
    3. Managed to finish writing a report for work that I was struggling with but once I got into it was finished in no time.
    4. Popped into Mr.S after dropping DD off at Guides and picked up some RTC profiteroles, naughty but soo nice
    5. Received another £3 of LV in the post for a survey completed and I have another £3 due to arrive

Hugs to all who need them

Not a great deal to report as it's been the only day this week I've had/will have at home so used it to catch up on rest, but will try to find some -

    1. Cut the dead blooms off the white lilac and cut it back a bit. Sad but hopefully it'll encourage even better blooms next year, if that's possible. This years display was amazing :D
    2. nsd
    3. The sunshine. Much as we need rain when it does come back we'll be back to complaining about the weather and forget this warm period, so I'm making the most of being able to have doors/windows open until the evening
    4. Lost 2 1/2lb this week
    5. A friend is going to make a birthday card for my DM who's 90 this month. It's impossible to find a card with '90' and 'Mum' on, so my lovely friend is going to create one for me, and include the prose I've written

Back to sleep, as another busy day tomorrow. Night night, sleep tight

    5 for today (Thursday).

    1) Went into town for a cup of hot chocolate with my friend.

    2) Popped into Sainsburys so feel more organised now.

    3) Boys quite jolly when I collected them from school.

    4) Pizza and cous cous for tea.

    5) Walked to the pub (4 miles or so round trip) with the boys and MrN's son 3.

    6) Just sat in bed watching a documentary of Viking sagas with bigger son.

    7) Had a funny phone call from the Uni I went to. They like to update their database from time to time and they ask "How is your career going?" and "Have you had anything published?" and suchlike. I was able to say "No publications, no archaeology, no career - in fact I'm just putting my children to bed" :-D

    Evening all.

Have been feeling really sick and headachey all day however...

    1. I did manage to get the rest of the sports kit dried so it's all sorted for next week.

    2. I did several Flylady-type timed 15 minutes bashing through boring jobs. (Is there anyone else here who sticks with American Flylady's way of doing things rather than the MSE version? That MSE thread makes me feel completely overwhelmed but the original US version doesn't. Maybe it's just me. :))

    3. I made a big pot of Quorn mince for tea - it's a staple that we use for pasta sauce, shepherd's pie filling and stuffed courgettes.

    4. Both DSs have been out and about today so it was good collecting them tonight and catching up on their news.

    5. Got my bulk buy green cleaning materials shopping list made (then took a pen to it to reduce it down in total cost!) Will put in the order in the next few days.

    Sweet dreams
