    Evening

    Pleasures for today:
    1. Nearly a NSD but did spend a £1 today on newspapers as wanted to check a couple for an article in them.
    2. Chicken baguette for lunch brought in from home
    3. Walked home from work and also did a 6 mile walk this evening. Really didn't want to go out but glad I made the effort.
    4. Easy quick dinner of meatballs and pasta followed by chocolate cake
    5. Whilst I was out walking DD and OH had a chat about some issues that have been bothering her and seemed to have calmed her down a little.

Hugs to all who need them

Tealady - glad you and OH were able to have a good chat with DD and I hope she's happier and happier tomorrow :)

Frith - yay to the beauty treatment, I love being pampered :)

Ladyhawk - so pleased your Aussie friend has written and is aware of her situation, that's such a big step (or at least it was for me last year). Hugs to you both x

Ditabombita - welcome to the world to the little boy, love new babies :):) x

    Today's many pleasures include:

    1. Vino with my lovely friend this evening :)
    2. Becoming OH's son's friend on FB and helping him with some homework tonight. I've met the son once and he was very lovely, nice to "chat" to him a bit more........and hopefully I've helped!
    3. Spent 95p on groceries today, less than it could have been.....
    4. Lovely chats with OH, I was feeling a bit neglected after we "only" chatted on text rather than speaking by phone yesterday, have made up for it today :):):) Seeing him tomorrow and I can't wait *swoon* - I'm such a silly girl, after all I did spend the weekend with him, so am not that neglected..... :)
    5. Had a fab time at Rainbows tonight, last one of the term *sigh* but lots of fun planned for after Easter, yippee!
6 My friend who had her baby last Friday is coming home tomorrow, sadly the baby isn't ready to come out of hospital yet, but hopefully soon baby will be strong enough - please send prayers, light candles, send reiki etc etc as the little one is sadly very poorly :(:(:(
    7. DD had a new friend over to play after school for the first time and it was lovely to see them together - they also discovered that they both want to be doctors when they grow up, cue lots of excitement and cuddles and plans to work in the same hospital - would you believe that they are 6 and 5 years old!!?!? DD has wanted to be a doctor since she was 2!
    8. Wine-drinking buddy supplied me with scrummy dinner, much needed after the wine!!

Not much use today, I think I've pulled a muscle under my right arm (luckily I'm left-handed). I can usually take any amount of pain but this is excruciating :(. Goodness knows how I did it, but no doubt it'll go when it's ready.

((((Kitchenbunny)))) sending happy vibes to you :A

Frith so pleased you sound a little brighter again, and you've got to love the college. I go to my local one to get my hair done, the girls take for ever to cut it but they're lovely, fun and bubbly, so I enjoy going. I had a pedicure and my eyebrows waxed in the beauty salon before my holiday - I'd have another pedicure but would think hard about waxing again

Kittikins sending thoughts and prayers for the little one's recovery

Mhags had to smile at the thought of all the parents doing the macarena etc, sounds likeg great fun :D

    1. nsd

    2. Made a tea loaf to take to my fellowship meeting tomorrow evening

    3. Spent 2 hours filling in our boarding passes on line for our cruise in June, it was one of the most complicated things I've ever seen! The pleasure came when I eventually completed it. Think I'll stick to 'proper' holidays in future

    4. Neighbours DD here for the afternoon as she's picked up the throat infection which seems to be everywhere at the mo. She's insisting on going to school tomorrow though, as they've got music, her fabourite subject ;). We played on her DS thingy and ate cornetto's, she looked a lot better when her mum came for her

    5. I'd just filled up the watering can and a bucket ready for this evenings watering when it rained. Now the containers and the butt are full, the garden is watered, and I sat in the dry with a cuppa while it all went on outside :D

    Night night, sweet dreams

    Hi everyone,
Kids are on first school holiday this year so that's keeping me busy.

1.Free DCO defence (personnel) movie this morning ,HOP and hotcross buns afterwards.

2.DD2 at free film making workshop 3 afternoons this week at local library.

3.Soaked dessicated coconut to make coconut milk for my chicken and prawn laksa tonight - had to strain through an old muslin but it tastes grand.

4.Found Nigella's prawn ball recipe to use up the last defrosted prawns and didn't need any ingredients from the shops.

5.Planted 6 mixed pepper seeds today as one of my plants had to hit the compost heap this morning.

6.DS1 at friend's for the day and now extended to sleepover.

7.DD2 has been invited to footie practise and sleepover after film workshop.

8.DD1 got dropped at the bus stop to go to the mall for the first time without an adult but with best friend - rang her she is going to catch the bus back to the local interchange and I will collect 5min trip rather than 25mins one way!

9.Borrowed 6 books and 3 DVD's from library for the kids for the rest of the week.

Feeling rather pleased with myself as I got 2 hours work done on my travel lists with all that coming and going.

Have a great day / night everyone.

    Morning all!

Kittikins - offering up prayers for the babe, and hope that he is hope with his mummy soon xxx

    My pleasures for yesterday/today:

    1. dd1 has finished her art gcse exam, the pic she showed me looked really good, and best of all she is happy with it.

    2. Friend is hopefully coming to stay over the Easter hols, if not I shall go down to visit her instead, either way I'm looking forward to it, since she moved I've really missed our gossip and giggle mornings!

    3. Feeling very pleased with myself as I didn't rush to bail out my best friend, which sounds awful, but he does get into a lot of financial scrapes and it's about time I sat back and let him sort them out himself! If he really needs my help then he knows he only has to ask though! It was very hard, but tis time he learned some responsibility!

    4. Discovering that someone who was once a really close friend has discovered the truth - she just one day stopped speaking to me, after someone had told her I said something that she'd told me in confidence, I hadn't at all and was so hurt that she wouldn't speak to me about it. Anyway the truth will out eventually, and whilst I have no intention of resuming our friendship, I am very pleased that she knows it wasn't me!

    5. Watching the programme about the Rift Valley with dd1 and dd3, whilst we helped dd3 with her maths homework. Was really nice just to chat and relax and be together.

    6. Making more bread using the bm to mix it and baking it in the oven, kids seem to prefer it done that way! I just liked using my freebie Lurpak tins lol!

    7. Rummaging in my wardrobe, which is relatively clear really since a major dejunk when ex nearly moved in last summer, and finding lots of bits I've bought for dd1's birthday! Also ordered the Roberts Radio that she wants, it is from me and her dad as it's expensive, but it is her 16th so a big pressie is in order I think!

    8. ds finding the choritzo that I thought I'd either lost somehow or had been snaffled and eaten, it was tucked behind a pile of the Tesco buy one get two free cheese lol! So the meatballs and choritzo ended up with the right amount of choritzo, rather than the tiny stick I'd found lol, and the kids loved it! dd1 said her whitebait was a bit bland, so will have to think of something to give it a bit more zing, as I have a huge catering sized bag in the freezer from best friend (he's a chef, and it wasn't on his new mealplans, so was donated to me!)

    9. Waking up with pins and needles in my arm, not much of a pleasure really, but it made me giggle as I remembered how the kids used to say it felt fizzy when they were little!

    10. Finding a tin of evaporated milk in the cupboard and pouring some in my coffee - reminded me of being small at my nan and grandad's! Then catching part of a gardening programme whilst I drank it, that took me straight back to picking the beans and peas in my grandad's veg patch with my cousins, happy days!

Hope everyone has a good day xxx

Kittikins: thinking of your friends wee baby, they are so precious, have everything crossed !

Well another busy day in PTA land! But it gives me something to do other than watch daytime TV!

    1. Walked to school for 11am to do another PTA stint, to sort out 600 items bought yesterday....took my old UK phone that has a radio on it & unpacked to music!

    2. My lovely DD2 came & helped her old mum in her lunch break!

3.Walked up the hilly way home....well they're all hilly ways but this is the hilliest way!! Finally seeing a difference to not having sugar in my life for 4 weeks. Lost a few pounds.....plenty more to lose though!

    4. Came home to an Easter card from inlaws with some cash for children & a nice letter and also a husband had arrived home from a few day away working, earlier than expected so that was nice!

5.I am just away to make a curry, so hoping that will be a pleasure!

    Enjoy your day M x

ps. ordered flowers for DD1's friend back home who has been poorly 9.99 for flowers with free chocs and free p & p and then got 1.00 off as I had 'flower points' from ordering mother's day flowers last week. Hopefully will give friend some pleasure!

Kittikins - hugs and prayers for your friend's baby. It must be so hard for her mum, going home without baby, so hugs for mum too.
