Some for today while it's quiet!

    1) Got boys to school and remembered everything they would need.

    2) Went into town for library books for smaller son's project and the stuff on prescription that he needs for when I re-bandage his finger.

    3) Really not very well overnight and for most of today but MrN coped well then this afternoon I watched Holby City from the sofa and ate chocolate.

    4) Did smaller son a new bandage. The nurse taught me how yesterday. It's special prescription stuff soaked in erm... stuff, then gauze on top followed by the finger bandage. Oh, and they sent me tubes of saline so I have to wash it out each time. Quite proud of how I coped with it. Got a bit headachey during the washing out with saline bit but was nowhere near fainting!

    5) Took the boys for a walk locally which turned into climbing up rocks/trees and doing other things you would think impossible with a broken finger...

    Evening

    Pleasures for today:
    1. Lift to work off my lovely friend so I didn't have to struggle on the bus with all my goodies plus got a lift home off another friend.
    2. As could leave later for work managed to get a small pile of ironing done this morning and more washing to dry on radiators.
    3. We make £200 pound at work from our cooking efforts and we will get another £150 matched funding from work plus we have lots of food left so hopefully will make a bit more tomorrow. Today was really fun at work not only did we raise the money for breast cancer charities but it was very sociable with everyone eating, chatting and laughing at lunchtime.
    4. Just completed an 8 mile power walk whilst DD was at guides have been a bit naughty this week and this is the first time I have ben out.
    5. In DD's good books as have got tickets to take her to see Westlife tomorrow at the O2 and they were free thanks to MSE:money:

Hugs to all who need them

Thank you for doing this. My sister rang earlier to tell me that the latest tests on her recently -diagnosed breast cancer show that it hadn't spread beyond the breast. :j x 1000 Once she has healed, a good dose of radiotherapy awaits.

mccolloch29 - Glad to hear the good news about your sister, so good to hear people getting over this awful disease and best of luck with the radiothereapy. A group of us at work are also doing the Moonwalk in May for the same charity to celebrate one of our collegues being in remission from breast cancer.

    Morning all!

Mccolloch - what fantastic news, I love hearing happy stories x

Caterina - finger's crossed about the new job, and having painted toes makes me smile too, even when nobody else can see them! x

Kitchenbunny - not tried the new butter yet, but think it'll be rather tasty on fresh bread or toast! Will report back! x

    My five for yesterday/today:

    1. Had some really lovely customers at work yesterday, makes everything so much nicer when people are lovely!

    2. Kids did all their chores, managed not to create another mess before they went to bed, and younger two were asleep when I got home!

    3. Read through my free mag from Robert Dyas - a gardening tips one, quite basic, but about my level! Picked it up from a stand outside the shop if anyone else is interested. Also contains a few recipes.

    4. Birds woke me up singing away this morning, and they're still going strong, hopefully it means spring is on its way!

    5. Gardeners' World is back on telly tonight, is it wrong to be so excited about an early night with Monty Don?!

good evening from warm Melbourne, it's been a hot 30o again today but got the washing dry so can't complain.....much! Put uniforms out on line at 5pm back in dry at 7pm....can't beat that!

    1. Took dd2 to school, walked back very hilly way.....I was huffing & puffing but will continue with this way until I no longer huff & puff!

    2. Have a clean & tidy house, having spent day being industrious! All hoovered, dusted, floors washed, all washing & ironing up to date, bathrooms cleaned, kitchen clean & tidy.....so nice way to start the weekend.

    3. Had a nice chat with my mum this morning & my sister this evening. Skype's a great invention!

    4. Kids home and all set for long weekend, holiday on Monday.

    5. OH bringing dinner home on way home from work......hope it's soon as we're all hungry! Day 3 of no sweet stuff!

    6. Saw a cat in my garden this morning whilst hanging up washing, it was sitting quite the thing under a tree but don't think it speaks Scottish as it wouldn't come over & when I went to see it, it ran away!

    7. Have seen an amazing amount of butterflies today, always do see them but today there were lots more than usual...most pretty!

    Enjoy your Friday
