Hiya Bestrong, welcome.
Here are my pleasures from this morning/last night:
1. Got a bit of a rest in bed this morning as I didn't set my alarm. I love that holiday feeling
2. Taking the bus into town. They've got some new buses on which, although they were running late, were much nicer than when I had to use them to commute.
3. Found some filled 4 cheese tortelloni on RTC so had to treat myself to lunch. yum
4. Feeling a bit positive about doing the housework. It'll be later on though!
5. I'm enjoying cups of tea!
Well, I popped into town this morning, and I shall probably do the same again tomorrow. I have a bit of cleaning to do, but otherwise I'm considering this as a duvet day.Have a good day, everyone.

Just done some gardening and its looking much tidier.
1. The sun is out.
2. I have chicken marinating for tea.
3. I slept well last night.
4. DS2 being ready for school early.
5. DH arriving home fairly early for him and no argument with DS2 on what tv program to watch.0 -
5) I don't normally play the piano in front of people anymore and was just "testing" MrN's out whilst waiting for his sons to come home from school. Got quite into it then looked round to see 4 small faces looking at me from the kitchen!! Definitely a comedy piano moment as it went tra la la... thump crash silence!

Evening all.
My five for today:
1) Another sunny (but seriously chilly) day.
2) LO pasta bake from last night for today's lunch, and it was just as good cold.
3) Out with friends tonight - partly because my old sofa has gone and my new one isn't due to arrive until tomorrow, and I don't really fancy sitting on the floor all evening.
4) Friday tomorrow, then I'm off work all next week. :j
5) Lots of pears in my fruit box delivery today - I got a double batch for some reason - and I'm planning on turning some of them into a pear and almond cake as I'll have time to bake next week.
Have a lovely evening, all.Back after a very long break!0 -

Hope people's days have gone well, especially you Frith ((( )))
1. Got lots done at work today, well from home
2. DD made MrA a lovely present before school this morning and he was very chuffed
3. MrA has come up with all kinds of lovely, thoughtful ideas for DD's birthday presents from him.
4. Had a lovely pedicure after work, not OS at all, but it was lovely and my feet and toes look lovely now, just in time for cold weather to come back, brrrr!!I was very fed up of having hooves rather than feet and live in sandals from March onwards given half a chance!!
5. MrA was nice and patient whilst I was busy working, it was lovely to have someone to chat to though in between calls and stuff
6. Bumped into an old friend who I've been annoyed with for a long time, think we've sorted out the issue now, i.e. she's apologised and I've accepted so hopefully we can get back to being friends
7. Popped into another friend's house to give her the gossip on no.6 and we ended up staying for tea, yum yum!
8. Oooh remembered another one, tea-giving friend gave me a magazine0 -
Evening
Pleasures for today:
1. Had an extra 15 minutes in bed this morning as knew DD was up and OH was leaving later than usual. It's amazing that those extra few minutes can make all the difference.
2. Chicken mayo sandwich for lunch with the last of the HM chocolate cup cakes to finish off, naughty but nice.
3. Thursdays are always a rush but avoided a takeaway and threw together a quick pasta dinner before everyone went out to do various activities.
4. Managed a 7.5 mile training walk tonight. I was going to go to an aerobics class but decided to save myself the money and do a free work out. It was cold to start with but soon got warmed up.
5. Low spend day just spent £1.80 on some bits for DD.
Hugs to all who need them0 -
Welcome bestrong, thanks for sharing and keep coming back
1. Bought my car insurance, after searching for weeks I phoned some the quoters, said it was due for renewal tomorrow and what could they do as their quote was terrible. One came back with £70 less than their on line quote
2. Shopped around for breakdown cover, got a 5* package for £66. A good result all round
3. no sink = no cooking/washing up = Chinese for dinner . Already in the freezer so just needed zapping in the mw
4. Got the airing cupboard and both my wardrobes tidied, jobs I've been putting off but couldn't let the workmen think I sit down down doing nothing all day! (What do you do when you have workmen in and you're tied to the house?)
5. Snuggled on the sofa with the dog and the mogs keeping me warm this evening
Night night, sweet dreams

Got a bit stressed this morning so had a day at home. Worked out quite well in the end as I made a MASSIVE list of jobs and have done them all except for one. :-)
So here's my 5 for today:
1) Tidying the garden - sweeping, emptying the water butt etc.
2) Tidying the house - hoovering (had to mend the hoover first), dusting, lots of washing, cleaning out the grotty porch and all the shoes in a heap in there. Even cleared out under the stairs and took all the plastic bags I'd been saving to the local shop so they can use them.
3) Got on top of all paperwork.
4) Got dad a better quote for the insurance on his truck. He'll have some Quidco cash back too. He gets quite excited by it and tells all his friends! (He has never used a computer).
5) Played the piano a bit.
6) Made a fish pie that turned out really well.
7) Made some fairy cakes.
8) MrN came round and hasn't long gone. :-)0
