    My five are

    1. A NSD

    2. Selling items on ebay

    3. Finding 4p on floor

    4. Tasty tea of mustardy sausages and apples.

    5. Being listened to at work about changes being made that I'm not happy with. A compromise seems to be the way ahead.

    Evening all.

I'm sorry my posting has been a little erratic recently: I'm having one of those weeks where, as a colleague put it, "the world just hates you sometimes, doesn't it?". :rotfl:

    1) Porridge with dried cranberries and dried apple for breakfast - my current favourite things to have with porridge.

    2) Sunny all day today, if very cold!

    3) NSD.

    4) Found a daffodil (stalk and bud) which had snapped off one of my plants: luckily the cold weather meant nothing had eaten it so it's now sitting in a vase in the kitchen.

    5) Chicken pasta bake for dinner, using up the chicken left over from Monday's M&S meal deal - very OS of me! ;)

    Have a nice evening, all.
Back after a very long break!

    Hi everyone,

Hope you are all very well.

    1) Had my hair cut short... yay!! It has gone from being nearly shoulder length to pixie length. It got good reviews from the people at work.

    2) Yummy samples in the office of scones, muffins and belgian buns... I was good and limited myself to one bun.

    3) Yummy breakfast of HM bran muffins

    4) Yummy fruit salad for lunch (except for the pineapple which wasn't ripe... ewww...)

    5) A load of washing done and clean bedding on my bed... nice!

So... the latest on the car is that the EPU (?) which I believe is the computer in it, has to be sent away and will take another week to come back... and so the saga continues!

    Night all...

    L

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    Evening everyone

    My 5 for today:-

    1) Another lovely sunny day - not a cloud in the sky, and even vaguely warm :D
    2) Got the final quote in for a new CH boiler - great company and great price. And £1200 cheaper than BG quoted
    3) Enjoying a nice tidy house
    4) Despite not following WW at the moment, I haven't put on any weight, and am still a stone lighter
    5) Going to have a self indulgent evening watching tv and doing some crafting

    Have a lovely evening, everyone,

    Pam x

    1. Friendly butcher giving us a free huge bag of chicken carcasses so the pressure cooker has been busy making chicken stock for the freezer.
    2. Pleasant walk this afternoon at one of our local beauty spots enjoying the last of the snowdrops and the early daffodils.
    3. Hearing from a friend that her youngest son has just been allocated a place at his first choice grammar school. She's had such a lot of personal problems in her life recently so I'm truly delighted at her good news.

Think those three are enough to keep me going today.

    Hi all,

Thank you for all your kind words and well wishing about my back ache. Luckily it seems to be getting much better, although I am still being careful and avoiding housework ;)

I had an amazing day, lots of pleasures, here they are:

1 - This morning, super cheap haircut and blow dry, using an internet offer voucher which I bought when I was still working (wise move!).

2 - Then, lunch with DH, met him near his workplace and ate salads and things at M&S. Very nice food and lovely to spend lunchtime together, for a change!

3 - Then facial at John Lewis using SHE magazine voucher and paying the fee using JL vouchers I had earned doing surveys!

4 - The offer also included a free gift, lovely face cream - and I got a sample of another cream, too!

5 - Redeemded the fee by buying a red lippy, even got 29p change as JL were doing a "match a competitor offer" 10% discount!

6 - Another voucher from another magazine, got a free lemon hand cream from Crabtree & Evelyn.

6 - Glamour mag lippy from Clinique, not as red as the other one but for £2 inc. magazine I am not too worried!

7 - DH is cooking dinner and the kids are out at a gig, so we are going to have a lovely quiet dinner together.

He is in fact calling me now to say dinner is ready, so have a good evening everybody! x
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

    1. MrA is sitting beside me on the sofa and we're watching the David Attenborough documentary together *bliss* :):)
    2. Bought some wheat/gluten free fishfingers for the same price as "normal" ones (to see if DD likes them, and they're suitable for MrA) and they have the thumbs up from all 3 of us :)
    3. Watching DD's excitement when I told her that MrA was coming for a sleepover tonight, so pleased she likes him and they're very natural together
    4. Bought DD's easter egg half price in Mr T's this morning
    5. Bought a 6-pack of YS cereal bars to have as a snack at the office rather than wasting money and calories at the chocolate machine.......nomnomnom

Right, I'm going to sign off as I want a hug and have finished my proper work for the evening :)
