Your day sounds lovely Caterina
1. Good doctor's appointment this morning, feeling very chipper and know that I'm definitely getting better
2. Met MrA for a lovely cup of coffee in the village after his doctor's appointment! He just gets lovelier and lovelier each time I meet up with him
3. Was given feedback - his family think I'm lovely(as well they should, I am!!)
4. Made tentative plans for DD to have tea with her new friend at dance school in a few weeks' time. The girls play so nicely together and have a mutual "best friend" and the mummy is lovely too, so a new friend for me
5. Am looking forward to going out for lovely dinner tonight with girls. Will be able to walk home afterwards which is a huge bonus, as I can have maybe 2 glasses of wine
6. Have decided to treat my body with more care and love and cut down on my food intake (hmm, except for dinner tonight, lol). My head is in a good place now, about time my body showed it as well. Wish me luck! Here's hoping I'll soon be posting regular losses, as I have a LOT to lose....
7. Looking forward to a relaxing weekend, DD has a couple of parties to go to but apart from that, we're just going to relax and tidy the house up a bit.
8. Borrowed some fabulous books from the library.
9. Have made a lovely veggie tomatoey dinner for DD which will do us for tomorrow using up floppy veg in the fridge.0 -
Evening all.
Please excuse me not replying to everyone tonight - I'm feeling seriously. It could be a very early night for me tonight!
1) Optician's appointment at lunchtime - a nice Irish optician I haven't met before, and my prescription hasn't changed so I don't need to make another appointment to get new contact lenses.
2) LO pasta from the other night for lunch, which was just as good cold. It was only a small portion, though, so
3) Treated myself to a Belgian bun from the baker. Neither OS nor particularly healthy, but 'twas very yum.
4) Lazy dinner tonight - ravioli pasta bake - it's a new 'recipe' which is assembly rather than cooking, but sounds pretty tasty.
5) It's a miserable night out so I'm planning on curling up to watch the rugby with a glass of the wine I got with my M&S meal deal last week.
Have a pleasant Friday evening, all.Back after a very long break!0 -
Hope you're all having a good evening. For the last few days and today, here are my 5:
1 Three NSDs so far this month, hope it continues.
2 I've been doing my stretches every day and also been running twice.
3 More decluttering:j
4 Looking forward to some baking (a ricotta and orange tart),also making bread and soup tomorrow.
5 Glued to the screen watching 'Spooks' (Series 6 & 7) on dvd.Gripping (I'm a recent convert).
Sparrer hope you're having a great holiday!
Good night x0 -
Evening everyone!
Feeling decidedly perkier today, inspite of the winds howling round my bungalow
Today's 5:-
1 Good nights sleep. Woke to discover dustbins and garden furniture blown round the back garden! And they can stay there
2 Lovely catch up with friends from work over lunch - so lovely to see them again
3 My newly found cousin in Canada is filling in so many pieces of my family jigsaw as I trace my family tree - and I've managed also to fill in some gaps for him. It's so lovely to have found someone I'm related to, as I come from a small family, and all the parents/grandparents aren't alive now - I'm the older generation and don't feel old enough to be in that position!!
4 Puddy tat welcomed me home later on this afternoon, and snuggled up on my knee
5 After a good lunch, am settling for a low fat snack for tea as I'm still full
Hope all have a good weekend,
Pam x0 -
Evening
Pleasures for today:
1. Walked to work today, they had dug up the road at the bus stop so didn't really have a lot of choice but at least I saved on the bus fare.
2. Laughing so much at work my ribs hurt so good to work somewhere where we get on so well
3. Not MSE but tried a japanese cafe at lunch time that I have wanted to try for ages. The food was sooo yummy and reasonable priced as well. Both my fried J and I are definetly going to go again
4. Bought some bits in Debenhams for OH birthday and used a 20% off voucher.
5. Light tasty dinner of HM sausage and pasta soup with fresh bread.
Hugs to all who need them0 -
A very stormy Saturday morning here, thunder, lightening & incredibly heavy rain. There was flooding in city centre last night, trains & trams were cancelled.
my Friday was difficult for me. Kids went back to school & I was on my own. To a certain extent I am happy in my own company but I know that I will find being on my own all day every day difficult. Before I moved here, I had so many people in my daily life, and at the moment I don't. However, if I can't get work that suits, I will offer help at primary school or the op shops. I 'need' to do something with my day.
I felt rather sorry for myself, it was incredibly hot & humid, I slipped & fell down my driveway....but had no time to wallow or I would have been late for dd2. A huge blister on my heel from walking so far in newish shoes and then kids were home & I was happy again ( all be it ,still hot ,sore scraped hand & a blister!)
anyway!
1. Up bright & early, we had a nice walk to school, saw lots of different flowers in bloom from 7 weeks ago.I literally did stop & smell the roses & they smelled good!
2.Walked back home, managed a seriously hilly bit in one go.........walking daily by necessity will be good for me!......came home & tidied & cleaned.
3. Made a banana loaf & a huge lasagne for tea. Both very tasty. We had an early tea as OH was working slightly later than normal. We don't usually eat until 7pm when he comes home so tea at 5pm was a lovely treat!
4.After slipping down drive, hobbling home with blistered heel hearing how dd2 had got on at school cheered me up. She was nervous about starting again. It's a totally different education system. Wanted me to stay until the bell had gone then a group of girls ran up to her, delighted to see her again & off she went quite happily. Came home & heard how ds & dd1 had got on too. DD1 was also very anxious about going back, not knowing where to go & what to do.......but she put her sensible head on & asked where to go at school office and got on fine for rest of day. And she had someone to walk home with who goes most of our way,so that was good too.......her long legged brother strides home ahead of her!
5.Finally the rain came.......cleared the air a bit. We are forecast a very wet weekend, so no beach for us.
Hope you all have a good weekend

Time for my check-in with you lovely MSE-ers...I hope you will understand that I´ve not read through al your posts, but I hope you´re all well!
Life is still good here in Boliva and my spoken Spanish is coming on well - one day I hope to speak Spanish as perfectly as Caterina speaks English!
I have been making plans for when I return to the UK and I want to get even further into the MSE way of life, growing my own vegetables, etc. So once I´m back I´ll be a regular here again!
Anyway, hugs to you all - I´ll look in again soon.
xxxx Ooh, look, my 1,000th post!Life is not a dress rehearsal.0 -
Evening all,
hope you are all well.
Just a quite visit...
1) Training course at work yesterday and today which was good - we stayed over at a lovely training centre with yummy food and drink
2) Lovely colleague picked me up and dropped me off at the station
3) Kitty cat was so pleased to have me home as I have been away so much recently
4) Got an email from my friend that I am staying with in Berlin next week - it really made me laugh and I can't wait to go!
5) Collapsing into gales of laughter and floods of tears during the training when the trainer was trying to get me to try a visualisation technique.
Anyway - night all
LMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
Good morning all. Been really busy the last couple of days. Also an unfortunate incident involving my D?H brought my mood down a bit. Just wish things could move forward for us all but he is just being awkward and petty, which seems ridiculous as it was his choice to leave me!! Can't wait for the day things are all sorted.(Although I think we could be a long way off yet). Anyway, moving on, here are my five for the last couple of days,
1. The wild winds dying down - they scare me!
2. Work finished until Sunday evening.
3. Certain someone coming home!
4. Being in credit with my gas and electricity.
5. Indulging in the sort of kisses that just make you melt! Gorgeous.
Love to all, and hope everyone has a great weekend. X0 -
My five for yesterday
1. A NSD
2. Managing to cook another meal without my hob. Its certainly making me become creative and just using the oven most of the time must be MS.
3. Managed two walks in the dry.
4. Watching the rugby and England winning.
5. Started decluttering my pile of magazines. I tend to keep any with articles/ recipes in I may want to look at again. I am now cutting out the relevant articles and recycling.
6. Listed more stuff on ebay and most have bids already.0
