Me and my baby son snuggling up together on my bed for a nap. I was woken by him nuzzling at me so he had a feed whilst we were both still lying there all dozy. It was blissful until hubby and the big two came crashing in and made us jump - oh well!:heart2: Mumma to DD 13yrs, DD 11yrs & DS 3 yrs. :heart2:0

mine was playing lego with my OH and 2 boys - i've been full of cold and my DS2 (hes 3 tomorrow) asked me when I sneezed if I was okay and my Ds1 (he's 5) passed the tissues. My little boys are growing up! xxMum, wife and dinnerlady!0

Evening everyone,
Hope you all had a smashing weekend.
1) The wedding in Gloucestershire was really lovely - bride looked beautiful, food was lovely and it was good to see some friends that I haven't seen for a good few months.
2) Between the ceremony and the wedding breakfast we had a few hours to kill so we played croquet on the lawn which was good fun - especially for our German friend who had never played before.
3) The drive back from the wedding was also rather pleasant... we stopped at Tintern Abbey to have a nose around. It was misty and a little damp but quite atmospheric. We also stopped at a PYO place anf picked some red currants to make into redcurrant jelly.
4) Spending time with my ex-housemate G. He is one probably my best friend and I love him dearly. It always makes me laugh when people assume that we are a couple. In fact we had breakfast with a some other good friends this morning and the wife said "Relationships confuse me - not many make sense, except you and G's!" G likes men so is certainly not a candidate for me!!
5) Speaking to an ex-boyf and his girlfriend at the wedding - they are expecting their first baby in January. This is a pleasure on two counts. The first was that it took me a long time to get over this man and I was genuinely pleased for them when I heard and not upset by it at all. The second is that he sufffers a little from a Peter Pan complex and I think this will make him grow up a bit which will also be really good for him.
Right - I had better start making the redcurrant jelly if I am going to get it done by a reasonable hour tonight!
Look after yourselves and have a very happy and successful week!
LMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
picking bilberries on the Yorks moors - felt like a bit of a young fogey as the only other people doing so where about 3 times my age - and everyone my age looked at me like I was mad!People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

Well, after the excitement of my cat having kittens yesterday, my sister only went and stole her thunder this morning and gave birth to my gorgeous new wee nephew Andrew!!!:D
I got a phone call at 4.27 this morning from my sister saying "I've just had the baby in the house, you need to come up!"
I made it there in record time to find her sitting on the living room floor holding the baby, so I got to meet my nephew when he was only 14mins old!:D
Both got taken to hospital to get checked over and they're now back home with my brother in law and Andrew's big brother, 20 month old Alexander!
What a weekend!:D
Andrew at less than 20mins old!0 -

My six year old grandson lives in France but he's been over for the last couple of weeks, after lots of hugs and kisses I said to him I am going to miss all these kisses when you go home to France, he said I'll tell you what, I will get a pretty box and put lots of kisses on pieces of paper and cut them into squares and every day you can take one out of the box and have a kiss. Needless to say I couldn't speak for a while and I get a lump in my throat every time I think about it.
Guess what we will be making next week?:A:A:A:A:A:A:)0
