Evening everyone,
hope you are all just dandy!
1) busy day at work. Things have been quiet recently (not that I am complaining) but it was good to get stuck into some work.
2) Wandered into town with a couple of colleagues. I took back 3 pairs of trousers from the Next sale... but then bought another shirt and and another pair of trousers...
3) Though a kilner jar for my redcurrant vodka that I will be making this evening... really looking forward to trying that!
4) Waking up to fresh bread in the BM so I had that with HM lemon curd for brekkie
5) Lovely tuna salad on my HM bread for lunch... delish!
Night all.
LMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
charlies - aunt I'm sure it won't be long before you're posting on here about your newly acquired cat and three kittens! Now that she's started to trust you, they will be coming back every day. Better start stocking up on those cat food tins !! And making a nice comfortable little sleeping place for them in your shed/garage !
Fingers crossed Primrose! I would love her to do that
We have a big shed at the bottom of the garden that is raised on railway sleepers - it backs onto a large hedge, the space underneath is only accessable from the back and as its very dry under there and I have a feeling that they have taken up residnce there
I am stockpiling cat food ready for winter and (hopefully) feeding all 4:heartpuls The best things in life aren't things :heartpuls

All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars0 -
Evening all.
Bitsy Beans - Viennese whirls - yum. I haven't had one of those in ages, and had never considered making them myself. When my diet's over I might have to look into it.
wogglemaker - hope your lungs improve again nice and quickly.
parsonswife - I've got a friendly wood pigeon that sits on my garden table, but I've never had one actually come inside. I wonder what it was after?
Megs mum - I'm glad you're so pleased with your new toy - I kinow you've wanted one for a while. I hope you really enjoy it (it sounds like you are).
Caterina - good for you for making the decision to leave a job you obviously aren't enjoying. I hope you feel better now you've made the decision.
v8monkeyboy - wow, what a haul of cherries! I wish I could get that many, then I might actually manage to make something with them - if I buy a normal-sized bag I eat them all before they get anywhere near being cooked.
Welcome to the new peeps who've come across from the merged thread - I hope you stick around and share more nice OS-type things.
I have to confess that I'm struggling to think of five things a day at the moment - I've been feeling rather down for the past week or so, for no real reason - but I guess that's when I really need to focus on the good things. I'll try for five:
1) Sunshine for most of the day, which seems even better after the miserable weather at the end of last week.
2) NSD.
3) I wore a green t-shirt today, which led a short-sighted ladybird to mistake me for a plant and land on me. They're such pretty little bugs.
4) Had a walk down to the sea at lunchtime. I'm so lucky to be able to do that whenever I want, and I must try not to take it for granted.
5) Tied up my tomato plants and there's lots of weeny green toms - looks like I'll have a bumper crop this year.
Hooray - that's five.
Have a nice evening, all.Back after a very long break!0 -
Evening all,
1. Giving away stuff on Freecycle and what not. I am so glad to be freer of clutter that I just dont care that I could make money by selling some of the stuff. Its gone to new homes and outta mine!
2. Taking a country back road to get somewhere rather than a roundabout traffic busy route.
3. Spotting a tomato or two growing!
4. um that;s all
Hi Sparrer, hope you well.Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Been a very busy bird and have an early start so just short and sweet tonight (phew, thank goodness, I hear
)
1. Overslept and only just made exercise class after a lick and a promise at the basin. An hours lung workout :j soon had me awake though
2. Visited DD who is still on crutches but managing with the help of her lovely family. DGD1 then came with me to help shovel more sand into bags and load it into the boot of the car - only about 4 more trips to go to get it all home, then I can lay it to level the ground for my new little patio area
3. Called in at the surgery to speak to the nurse re possibility of going to India, she thinks it will be okay but has made an appt for me to speak to my GP tomorrow at 9am. How efficient is that?! As she said, it's better to know sooner rather than later so I can plan or not, as the case may be
4. Bought a YS chicken for £2 and cut it into 8 portions before freezing them
5. Postie brought me really good sized samples of shampoo and conditioner, will be just right for the Morecambe holiday with the DGC next month, enough for all of us :T
No phone call today as they haven't rung to give me the direct line no. Will call HDU, where DF was, when I get back from the surgery in the morning
Night night, sleepy tight

4. Making a playlist to put onto an ipod for music for parents party on Friday, as its a lunch time be decided against a disco or band. Plus this is so much cheaper.
