Mine for the past few days
1) Lots of cuddles with OH as he's working nights so is around in mornings again
2) Winning some tickets to Cadbury World when we'd only been discussing going again the day before! (were planning to use tesco vouchers!)
3) Sitting down with OH and making a plan to move away from where we're living at the moment (complete relocation), will take some work but will be worth it in the long run.
4) Spending the day in the sun yesterday with 2 friends at a free festival type thing
5) Having a very peaceful Sunday at the momentSlimming World: 1stone 11lbs lost in 11 weeks0 -
Here are my pleasures for yesterday:
- Not spending much money at the shops. I only had £20 cash on me and I had 45 minutes to kill at the shops waiting for DH, so did more window shopping than proper shopping. But i did manage to get DD a pair of Gap sandles for £2.99 in the sale.
- Visiting the 100th birthday party of the local park. It was much bigger than we had anticipated with thousands of people there. Best of all there were some craft/foody stalls to drool over, I bought a watercolour print of the park and a jar of homemade jam. Its nice to see community spirit alive and well, and made us realise how lucky we are to live here.
- A treat for tea, M&S Slow roast belly pork with readymade vegetable bake.
- Being asked my opinion on childrens books in Waterstones by another customer who saw my DD taking a real interest in choosing her own books, it made me feel very proud.
- A large glass of wine in the evening.Value of prizes 2010 - 2017: £8374 Wins 2022: Magic set

Evening, all. Here are my pleasures for today:
1. A lay in. As it was slightly cooler, it was good to get a bit more sleep.
2. Doing some more work on my sewing. I've almost finished another row and will plot my next project with purpose now!
3. Repairing three pairs of trousers I'd stapled because I've never had time to sew the hems on. I found my wonder-web hem repair stuff and used it, and they're good as new.
4. A quick tea of tomato pasta salad with bacon and veg, which has used up the carton of passata from last night, and some of the fridgely veg.
5. Talking to my sister. It was good to catch up as it's been a long time since we bonded.
Have a good evening, all.

Pleasures for today:
1. Lovely lazy morning with everyone at home and DD made breakfast In bed for OH and me.
2. DD also put the washing on the line and another load in the machine. (before anyone thinks what a wonderful DD I have she does have a motive in that she wants to go on a school trip that we don't know the cost of yet but still enjoying the pleasures when they come)
3. As so hot OH suggested we went to the golf club which is on a lake for dinner and then no one had to cook (meaning me) so lovely dinner sat outside in the shade and a lovely breeze
4. Managed to have a healthy dinner and not pick at anything fattening, will get back into the dress I want to wear to nephews wedding in August
5. About to enjoy a peaceful hour reading
Hugs to all who need them. Sparrer hope you are OK0 -

Cheeky number 8 - I've posted post number 5000 on this tread... go me!Man plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
Haven't posted here for yonks, but today my five pleasures would be
1 Broad beans
2 Spinach
3 Runner beans
4 New potatos
5 Raspberries
All picked from our garden and enjoyed for our lunch. Simple pleasures indeed.Away with the fairies.... Back soon0 -
1) Got up early to do some jobs and fitted in preparing all the strawberries picked yesterday for jam. Four pots made and also four small jars of lemon curd. That's the last of the lemons.
2) Coffee date with OH.
3) A sunny afternoon at the boss' house. His wife had done a lovely spread and I enjoyed looking at the crafty things around the house too. It was a combination of leavers' do and summer social so both sad and enjoyable at the same time.
4) Main meal made of left overs and of course, strawberries and meringues for afters. I have just discovered the parlous state of our finances, so this will be a theme for some time to come.
5) DD had a nice first day at work at the local curry house and was paid, plus tips, which has gone straight into her savings account. I'm very proud of her.
Just about to finish off a bottle of wine. There was a small glass each for me and DD. I think she deserves it.0 -
Just a quickie to say thank you so much for thinking of me. Will pop back later with some pleasures
